Zhang Bo graduated from Tianjin Conservatory of Music with a major in Marimba, learned piano and various drum instruments since childhood, and is proficient in drums such as drum kits, African drums, Chinese drums, Hebei zizi, triangle iron and other rhythmic instruments. He is a percussionist of the Chinese Opera and Dance Theatre, a member of the Chinese National Orchestra Society, and a member of the Chinese Musicians Association. In 2008, he won the fifth place in the Sabian Jazz Drum National Competition.
