Recently, 138 acres of half-sided red plums in Pingshui Village, Yonghe Town, Yong'an County, matured and went on the market. In the Xilan Orchard Farm in Yong'an County, located in Pingshui Village, the garden is full of fruit, and the red plum trees on the half side are fruitful. Migrant villagers are dividing their labor to pick, select, and load baskets, transporting freshly picked plums to the market for sale.
"This year the rain is good, the plums grow ok, we work in the orchard, a hundred yuan a day." Migrant villager Song Zhongying said.
Founded in 2014 by Feng Gang, deputy director of Yonghe Town's Duoding Community, The Xilan Orchard Farm in Yong'an County has ensured the harvest of plums by relying on the local climate, soil conditions and other geographical advantages.
This year, half of the red plums in the orchard farm are expected to produce 200,000 catties and an output value of 600,000 yuan, which will be sold to Guangzhou, Duyun and other cities, absorbing 1,200 workers.
"The variety of half-sided red plum is adapted to growing in Pingshui Village, Yonghe Town, with good taste, high sweetness, crispness and aroma, and the market prospect is very good." As a village cadre, I chose to plant this industry in the hope of providing more jobs for the local area. Feng Gang, deputy director of the Duoding Community in Yonghe Town and head of the Xilan Orchard Farm in Yong'an County, said.
It has been learned that since this spring, under the premise of ensuring food security production, Yonghe Town has meticulously planned to do a good job in the article on "agriculture with mountain characteristics," done a good job in agricultural technology training and service guidance, and promoted peasant income, industrial efficiency, and rural economic development. Up to now, the town has implemented a total of 54,208 mu of grain planting, 16,900 mu of existing tea gardens; in the first half of the year, 26,537 mu of vegetables were planted, 29,341 pigs, 0.070 million cattle, 0.115 million sheep, 77,810 ecological poultry, 0.0065 million tons of poultry eggs, and more than 2,000 mu of rice field fish farming were developed.
