Kichi Matsui Ishigen: A retired Japanese Army general, how to gradually become a Class A war criminal

author:Jianghu Xiaoxiaosheng

#吴啊萍受审画面: Confess to everyone #Matsui Ishigen, who actually retired before the outbreak of World War II. Born in 1878, he was an old man in the Meiji period. By the time of the 1937 War of Resistance, Matsui Ishigen was almost 60 years old.

Logically, he should not have appeared on the battlefield in China. As early as 1934, Matsui Ishigen had retired as an army general. However, the "Greater Asiaticism" that he had been propagating was very popular and gradually became the mainstream idea of Japan's invasion of China.

In addition, Matsui Ishigen is also an army general who can be called "China Tong", and it is not so strange to throw himself into the battlefield again. So what kind of a Chinese master is he?

First, Matsui Ishigen and the Chinese revolution still have a lot to do with it.

Many people, after learning about the Sino-Japanese Sino-Japanese War, deeply resented Japan because Japan received 230 million taels of silver from China, as well as some territorial revenues. This is naked harm to China.

But do you think Sino-Japanese relations have since fallen to a freezing point? Not really. Relations between nations and between individuals are completely different. Since the Sino-Japanese War, the relations between China and Japan have become somewhat ambiguous.

A lot of people can't understand this, but that's the way it is. A large number of Chinese students have given up studying in the West and chosen to study in Japan.

Why? First, the road to the West is too expensive, and it is much cheaper to go to Japan. Second, through the Russo-Japanese War and the Sino-Japanese War, Japan proved their strength to China, at least in terms of military strength, they had caught up with the Western countries.

Instead of traveling far and wide to Britain and the United States, it is better to study in Japan, which is closer. Therefore, since then, a large number of international students have gone to Japan. After all, in the past, only Japanese students went to China to learn advanced cultural technology, and after the Meiji Restoration, for the first time, Chinese students studied in Japan.

Moreover, in the past, Japan was painted with barbaric symbols by Western countries, and after years of change, Japan has popularized cultural knowledge, the wisdom of the people has gradually opened up, and Chinese students have come to study abroad, which can prove this to the world.

It was at this time that Matsui Ishigen became acquainted with a large number of Chinese students. As early as 1908, Matsui Ishigen met Chen Qimei, who studied in Japan. Through Chen Qimei, he also got to know Lao Jiang, and even introduced Lao Jiang to the Takada United Regiment of the Japanese Third Division for internship.

It can be said that Matsui Ishigen took good care of old Jiang, and the two talked many times at Matsui Ishigen's home. Chen Qimei and Lao Jiang were both influential figures who later stirred up China's political scene.

In addition, Matsui Ishigen also met Dr. Sun Yat-sen in exile in Japan, and participated in funding the third revolution launched by Sun Yat-sen. Therefore, Matsui Ishigen is well versed in China's early revolution, and it is not an exaggeration to call it a Chinese pass.

Second, vigorously propagating "Greater Asiaticism" and embarking on the road of no return.

When we understand the history of the War of Resistance Against Japan, we often mention a word, that is, the "Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere." What does this mean? That is to say, Japan intends to establish an organization similar to the current metropolitan area, with Japan as the core, and the whole of East Asia will prosper and develop with Japan.

This is absolutely a naked pretense, the purpose of which is to legitimize one's own acts of aggression. In fact, before this formulation appeared, Japan had been wafting with the specter of "Greater Asiaticism." The person who made this point of view was Matsui Ishigen.

In October 1921, 11 people, led by Okamura Ninji and Hideki Tojo, formed the Baden Baden Group, including Matsui Ishigen stationed in Shenyang. They were all core Japanese officers advocating co-prosperity in Greater East Asia. In other words, they were the initiators of the war of aggression against China.

In 1927, Matsui Ishigen was promoted to major general of the second department of the Japanese Army General Staff, and at the same time, chiang visited Japan in the hope of gaining support from the Japanese government. At the recommendation of Matsui Ishigen, chiang met with Yoshiichi Tanaka, then Japanese prime minister, and reached an agreement on certain aspects.

It can be seen that Matsui Ishigen actually had a certain influence on the National Government of Nanjing at that time.

In 1933, Matsui Ishigen began to form the Greater Asia Minor Association, and when he was the commander of the "Taiwan Army", in Taiwan, he founded the Taiwan Greater Asia Association. It was also in this year that he was promoted to army general. It can be seen from this that the wind direction of the Japanese military at that time was inclined to aggressive wars.

If the Japanese authorities support peaceful development, people like Matsui Ishigen will not be able to stand out at all. In 1935, there was a struggle within the Japanese army, and Lieutenant General Nagata Tetsuyama, the representative of the commander-in-chief of the military affairs, was assassinated by Sazawa Saburo Nakasawa of the Imperial Taoist army, and Matsui Ishigen was forced to retire because of this incident.

Logically, his future was so lost, but he was a China expert, and at that time, the situation of Japan's invasion of China was already clear. Such a person was soon reused again.

In 1936, Matsui Ishigen ran to China to negotiate with the then important members of the Republic of China, such as Lao Jiang and He Yingqin, and advocated his Greater Asiaticism without any problems.

This made the gang very disgusted, especially the old Jiang, who tore his face with Matsui Ishigen since then. Because Matsui Ishigen actually constantly persuaded Old Chiang to admit the existence of the puppet State of Manchukuo, this matter was rejected by Old Chiang.

After that, Matsui Ishigen ran to Liangguang and contacted Hu Hanmin, Chen Jitang, Li Zongren, Bai Chongxi and others, which directly led to a formal break between Liangguang and the Nanjing government, almost causing an irreparable Chinese civil war.

Third, the all-out invasion of China, Matsui Ishigen made an unforgivable mistake in Nanjing.

On July 7, 1937, the Japanese army officially launched a war of aggression against China. On August 13 of the same year, the Battle of Songhu began. The 60-year-old Matsui Ishigen, the commander of the 3rd and 11th Divisions, went to Shanghai for reinforcements.

After more than 2 months of fighting in the Songhu War, the troops under Matsui Ishigen suffered heavy casualties, and he finally realized Chinese determination to resist aggression. But this year he was 60 years old, and this was his last chance to make a career, and he would never miss it.

Before the war, he had already made a statement in Japan that he must quickly take Nanjing and force the old Chiang Kai-shek authorities to submit to them. On November 22, 1937, Matsui Ishigen, who was eager to win, continued to contact the Japanese authorities and demanded a rapid capture of Nanjing.

Under the emphasis of Matsui Ishigen's generous statement, the importance of Nanjing seems to have been recognized by Emperor Hirohito. In the end, the Japanese authorities made a decision and asked the Shanghai dispatch team led by Matsui Ishigen to take Nanjing in one fell swoop.

On December 5, 1937, Matsui Ishigen's troops came to the city of Nanjing and began to launch a fierce attack on Nanjing, which was in danger. During this period, Matsui Ishigen had thousands of copies of the "Letter of Persuasion" printed and distributed them to the city of Nanjing by plane, but the Chinese military and civilians ignored them.

Although the Chinese army vowed to resist to the death, it was unfortunately outnumbered, and on December 13, 1937, the city of Nanjing fell. This is the saddest day in China's modern history.

Before the invasion of China, Matsui Ishigen had stressed that if the Chinese army stubbornly persisted to the end, it would pay a terrible price. In the "Letter of Persuasion", Matsui Ishigen also frankly said: If the Chinese military and civilians continue to resist, then the Japanese army will shoot and kill the stubborn resisters. Moreover, Nanjing, a thousand-year-old city, will be destroyed in one fell swoop.

When this kind of statement is said, it actually shows that Matsui Ishigen intends to slaughter the city. On December 13, 1937, more than 100,000 Japanese troops rushed into the city of Nanjing and began the evil act of burning and looting.

They began with a brutal massacre of Chinese remnants and wounded who laid down their arms. Synonyms are used for "sweeping" or "discipline and rectification".

In addition, the situation gradually lost control, and the ordinary people in Nanjing were also brutally painted. According to statistics, in the process of the Nanjing Massacre, there were 28 large-scale collective massacres, with a cumulative massacre of nearly 200,000 people. There were 858 sporadic massacres, with a total of 15 people slaughtered, and at least 300,000 people were brutally slaughtered.

On December 18, the Japanese army actually held a "Loyalty Sacrifice" at the Ming Palace in Nanjing to commemorate the Japanese soldiers who died in battle. Matsui Ishigen even wrote an elegy:

Brilliant Xuqi Purple Golden City, Jiangnan wind and color clearer. Qi Qi' Million Banners, Looking Up to the Emperor Wei Yao Eight Hong.

It is worth mentioning that although the Japanese authorities regarded Matsui Ishigen as a hero, after this war, he was transferred back to Japan by the authorities and never returned to the battlefield.

Summary: Class A war criminals, the crime is not to be blamed!

At the time of the Tokyo trial, Matsui Ishigen was convicted of one of 28 Class A war criminals for his numerous crimes in Nanjing. On December 23, 1948, he was hanged.

Even so, it will not be able to save the souls of more than 300,000 compatriots in Nanjing. Therefore, Wu Ahping, as a Chinese who has received higher education, actually enshrined the tablet of Matsui Ishigen in Nanjing, is this just pure ignorance? It's disgusting us Chinese! This is in disgust at those more than 300,000 suffering compatriots.

The most crucial thing is that the address she chose, Xuanzang Temple, is not a hidden temple, but a temple near Xuanwu Lake, very close to Jiming Temple, next to the monument to the compatriots killed in the Nanjing Massacre of the Japanese invasion of China. It is a place full of tourists, how dare she? Isn't that disgusting people?

Nanjing is a city full of tragedies in recent history. These tragedies were caused by Japan. Therefore, it is not surprising that there are a large number of Japanese elements everywhere, except for Nanjing, what is the "Japanese Summer Festival", a Japanese street, is this not insulting to yourself?

How many decades has it been since the victory of the War of Resistance? The veterans of the War of Resistance have not all been buried yet! More than 300,000 compatriots are still watching from underground! Forgot? Did you selectively lose your memory so quickly?
