The ocelot ( prionailurus bengalensis ) is a genus of cats in the family Catidae. Head and body length 360-660 mm; Tail length 200-370 mm; Hind foot length 80-130 mm; Ear length 35-55 mm; Total cranial length 75-96 mm; Weight 1.5-5 kg. The ocelot is also known as the "money cat" in China because the spots on its body resemble Chinese copper coins. It is similar in size to a domestic cat, but is slimmer and has longer legs.
