On the Ruoerge Grassland, I inadvertently enjoyed a horse racing conference of Tibetan compatriots.
In July, the grassland is green and strong, which is a good time for Tibetan people to hold various grand gatherings. In those few days, on the road, I often saw Tibetan compatriots setting up tents and grilling skewers on the grass to pick up wine, thinking in their hearts that life in this Tibetan area was really comfortable and emotional.
Really wanted to find out.
That day I saw a lot of tools on the road pulling horses, all to a place full of tents, surrounded by bunting flags in the middle. What is this festival? Parking at the car asked the Tibetans around what activities were held inside, and they said "what"! I don't dare to ask again, there are many things we don't know about the ethnic minorities.
Walking forward, I saw that there was a word in the place surrounded by bunting flags, and if I looked closely, it said "Ren Yin Hu Nian Ga Poor Village Thoughts Become a Horse Racing Conference", which turned out to be a horse racing competition! After a while, when the runners are ready, the call for the horse race to start. Dozens of horses galloped around the bunting flag, and the people around them made their mouths scream, which was so wonderful that they had only been seen on TV before, but I did not expect to see the original Tibetan compatriots racing horses on this tour.
It turned out that the Tibetan compatriots in Gannan were celebrating the Xianglang Festival, which is a romantic and interesting festival. The start time of the Xianglang Festival is generally chosen on the sixth day of the sixth month of the lunar calendar every year. At this time, it was the best time for the grassland to be blue and white, and the sheep were fat and strong, and the local Tibetan masses invariably brought tents, cooking utensils, barley wine, ghee and other foods to the beautiful grass beach to relax and rest. On the lawn with green grass and flowers, people choose those places that are surrounded by mountains and rivers to set up tents, place the food and wine that have been prepared long ago, and gather together in the village or three or five households to spend ten and a half days of wild life accompanied by fine wine, cheese and milk tea. During the festival, recreational games such as horse racing and tug-of-war between villages and families are carried out. As it turned out, I also understood, and began to ask tibetans what this festival was, and people replied "what", but it was actually "horse racing", but I didn't understand it.
