The mother of the white rhino "Sisi", "Weiwei", was introduced from South Africa to Guangzhou in July 2016, and she is almost 9 years old this year, and this time she gave birth to a mother for the first time, after nearly 18 months of pregnancy, she gave birth to a rhino baby. It is reported that during pregnancy, "Weiwei" showed the nervousness of a novice mother, the mood was more depressed in the 2 months before giving birth, often standing in a daze, and the breeder would soothe it by touching it when he found it in a bad mood. In the end, "Vivi" was successfully produced, and the whole process took about 1 hour.
At about a month in "Sixi", the nursery staff considered the future of the group and chose to reunite the white rhino family of three first. At first, "Vivi" will worry about the cub being hurt, and will also drive away its father, seeing that his father also likes "Sisi", "Vivi" will let down his guard. The harmonious coexistence of the family of three is also the first step taken by "Xixi" to integrate into the rhino family, and is ready for the subsequent integration.
Recently, it was observed that "Sixi" was in good physical condition and got along well with his parents, and it was time to build a more complete social relationship, so on the occasion of the 100 days of "Sixi", the rhino family of three was released in a group with other rhinos.
