#Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora# During COP19, Parties adopted a proposal to move the southern Namibian white rhino population from CITES Appendix I to Appendix II [pitiful] This change only involves live animal trade, provided that the traded live animals are limited to the natural and historical habitat of the southern and northern subspecies of the African white rhino.

WWF endorses this decision in favor of Namibia's rhino conservation, which has previously successfully protected its southern white rhino population and has set up a multi-agency team to tackle the illegal trade in rhino horn. The decision will also help to achieve rhino population expansion, and is also a proven way to restore white and black rhino populations on the African continent #打击非法野生物贸易 #
