On July 2, local time, the Algerian military conducted a rehearsal for the military parade marking the 60th anniversary of independence on July 5. In this rehearsal, the Algerian military exhibited a large number of Army weapons and equipment. As a major oil country in North Africa, Algeria's army is mostly equipped with the main equipment from Europe and Russia, and it is also equipped with a large number of weapons and equipment exported from the mainland. The July 5 military parade is expected to be the largest since the founding of Algeria.

In this rehearsal, Algeria introduced China's PLZ-45 155 mm self-propelled howitzer, SR-5 self-propelled rocket launcher, SM-4 120 mm self-propelled mortar and long-endurance drone. In addition, other major equipment of the Algerian Army also participated in the rehearsal.

In addition to equipment from the mainland, the Algerian army is mainly equipped with Russian-made equipment from the former Soviet Union and Russia. At present, Algerian combat vehicles, air defense systems and rocket launchers are made of Russian origin. At the rehearsal, there were T-90SA, T-72 and other main battle tanks exported by Russia, fire support vehicles converted from T-62 tanks, various air defense systems, multiple rocket launchers and other equipment.

According to the Algerian News Agency, on July 5, the Day of Independence of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, the Algerian People's National Army will hold a military parade to be reviewed by the President of Algeria and the Minister of Defence.
