Ditch "Harry Potter"! 10 classic roles played by Daniel Radcliffe

Daniel Radcliffe's role in the Harry Potter series gave him a profound on-screen image. As the "surviving boy", Harry carries the burden of responsibility, and Daniel has this burden, and almost everyone wonders when he will return as a wizard.

For Daniel, he has been adding his screen role since the end of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2. These characters are very different from Harry, some are stupid, some are crazy and sad, and some are extremely evil, let's take a look.

10. "The Wreckage of Life" – a cameo as a dog walker

2015's "Wreckage of Life" tells the story of a young magazine writer (Amy Schumer) who has been dating different men but never been in love, and when he meets a doctor (Bill Hader) and falls in love. Daniel only makes a cameo appearance in the film, but it's one of the most interesting moments in the whole movie.

Daniel plays a fictional self in the film, struggling to walk the dog on a leash. In the few minutes of his appearance, he managed to make himself appear clumsy, as if he were bored and just reading lines, which added to the fun of his character.

9. Victor Frankenstein – Igor

Daniel plays Igor, frankenstein's (James McAvoy) assistant. The duo have great chemistry in the movie, they care about each other and trust each other. In the film, the duo become fugitives who try to create life from death through the use of science.

The character of Igor is more about dealing with the damage caused by Frankenstein and solving the chaos caused by experiments. Igor felt guilty for disapproving of Frankenstein's work, because without Frankenstein, Igor would have been just an ugly, hunchbacked circus youth for fun.

8. The Genius Project – Tim Jenkin

The autobiographical film revolves around two white South Africans who are imprisoned in the infamous Pretoria prison for their work on behalf of the African National Congress. Daniel plays Tim Jenkin, a real-life fugitive and political prisoner.

The Genius Project is an opportunity for Daniel to prove that he's more than just "Harry", and like his other characters, he's had success here. The film has tense, exciting moments and proves how talented he is at acting.

7. "Kill Love" – Alan Ginsburg

Kill Love is another of Daniel's real-life films. In the film, he plays Allen, an ambitious Columbia student who, with the encouragement of his parents, leaves his working-class father and sick mother to join the New Horizons cultural movement.

The film focuses on the relationship between Allen and Lucian Carr (Dane De Haan), who deepens as they share their emotionally painful past and love of literature and poetry. Daniel brilliantly portrays love, friendship, and the hardships of doing the right thing, even if it means losing what you love for the sake of justice.

6. The Lost City – Abigail

Released in Europe and the United States in March of this year, Lost City tells the story of a female writer (Sandra Bullock) and her cover model (Chanin Tatum) kidnapped by the eccentric and wealthy Abigail. Abigail is a character played by Daniel, the villain in The Lost City.

His character has a strong desire to find the treasures of the Lost City, and nothing can stop his discovery. He is an obvious megalomaniac with a keen sense of change around him, and he will not hesitate if he needs to hurt someone to reach his goal. Daniel played the role in a very attractive and somewhat childish way.

5. The Freak: The Story of Al Jankovik – The Freak

It's a lot easier to dissociate yourself from Harry Potter than it is to portray the real-life musical genius "freak" Al Jankovik. Although the film has not yet been released, Daniel has devoted himself to the role, including facial features, body and voice. He has a heavy American accent, a strong desire for an organ, and a magical animal as a pet.

Daniel's portrayal of Jankovic has not yet been fully revealed, and the film is scheduled to be released in the fall of 2022, but the film will always be in the spotlight. It's a quirky character for an eccentric person, further confirming Daniel's true vision of career choices and realizing talent.

4. The Magic Horn – Ignatius

After being accused of murdering his girlfriend, Daniel is immersed in guilt for a crime he didn't commit, and he perfectly interprets the feelings of a depressed man who has lost everything. And just after waking up from a night of hangover, he found a pair of horns growing on the top of his head, and there were various indications that these horns could help him.

Daniel tries to use the magic powers of the horns to find out who really killed the woman he loves, so that he can be liberated from the slander and eliminate the horns on his head. After watching this fantasy film, I will be fascinated by Daniel's superb acting skills.

3. The Woman in Black – Arthur

Daniel fits perfectly with this elaborate Woman in Black. The film tells the story of a young lawyer who travels alone to a remote town to deal with a legacy case. Arthur discovers the weirdness of this isolated town and discovers that it is indeed haunted by a ghost that is a woman dressed in black.

The ghost wants to kill the children of the village, and his character is desperate to solve the mystery and prevent more innocent locals from being murdered. It's a very scary film that also challenges the audience's portrayal of Daniel's more well-known character, Harry Potter.

2. "Gun in the Waist" – Miles

Miles is a scrap keyboard man who has no future in his job but is still hopelessly in love with his ex-girlfriend, who hangs out online anonymously and wastes time. Seemingly ordinary character research, but lost no time in entering the field of madness. This is one of daniel's hilarious characters to date and has led to this action-comedy adventure.

Miles got the wrong guy on the Internet, who took his flesh out, pinned him to both hands, and told him to fight a lunatic. While participating in abuse games, overcoming his fears and preventing his ex-girlfriend from being threatened. The strange appearance of him in his pajamas and his hands staring at a pistol is a big selling point of the movie.

1. "Swiss Army Knife Man" - Corpse Manny

What could be more of a distance between him and Harry Potter than to portray a corpse? The man Hank (Paul Dano) is trapped on a desert island, and when he is desperate to hang himself, he finds a body that has come down the water. After becoming friends with the corpse, the two of them embark on an adventure to escape the desert island.

Daniel plays a corpse that can fart, grimace, squirt, and almost "omnipotent", which is completely crazy and bad fun entertainment. Overall, it's a great movie with inspirational graphics and thought-provoking black humor. The chemistry between Daniel and Dano, and the desire for life, makes it easy to fall in love with the film at a glance.
