"Thank you so much Peony Hall Spring Breeze"
Many people will recognize peonies as peonies because they are very similar, except that peonies are woody and peonies are herbs; Woody stems are stronger and herbaceous stems are softer; The leaves of the peony are relatively wide, and the leaves of the peony are relatively long. Some petals of peony are deformations of the flower buds, which vary much more than peonies.
A month ago, I bought five imported peonies from the flower market, and on the same day I sketched with pencils on rice paper, and every two days I began to compose and draw on silk. Unfortunately, my son's family of four suddenly contracted the new crown, my studio was connected to them, for fear of infection did not dare to go over, until the other day they were well and flew to the United States for a vacation, I was able to continue to complete.
This painting is made of boneless, water and powder, and heavy colors. The dark peony first outlines the petals with light ink, and then dyes them layer by layer with various red pigments and flower blues, creating a thick feeling of velvet. The leaves do not use ink at all, but represent different levels of green. The central veins of the leaves are left behind, that is, they are left white first, and then dyed pale green or green with a little carmine.
Some of the leaves show traces of insect erosion, which I did not do when I painted peonies, because the peonies bloomed early, the weather was cold, and the caterpillars were not yet active. Two wasps were added to the painting, and because it was summer, they began to get busy.
This peony actually took a month before and after, the flowers have long withered, fortunately I only cultivated feelings and used as a reference for sketching, and the rest were mostly created by myself. Su Dongpo said, "Thank you for the flower worker's pity and loneliness, and still leave the spring breeze of the Peony Medicine Hall." But isn't it! The summer came when the painting was completed, and the temperature suddenly soared to thirty-five degrees.......
