But after the outbreak of the war, the results of the polls were completely reversed. So Sweden and Finland submitted written applications to join NATO early on, but they faced one of the biggest obstacles, that is, Turkey did not agree at all, but after a long tug-of-war negotiation, Turkish President Erdogan finally relaxed on this issue. According to Xinhuanet, just before nato's summit in Madrid, Sweden, Finland and Turkey announced a tripartite agreement, and the Turkish government will agree to support Sweden and Finland to join NATO.

The Turkish government has long regarded it as an extremist or even a terrorist organization, while Sweden and Finland, which have always paid lip service to the so-called slogan of democracy and freedom, have been helping the Kurds morally and materially, which is the crux of the contradiction between the two sides. In May of this year, when Turkey and Sweden and Finland held preliminary negotiations, they made ten demands on each other. Now that almost all of these ten demands have been agreed, the main elements of which are: first, Sweden and Finland must clarify the position of the PKK and its related organizations as terrorist organizations, secondly, they must stop official contacts with the PKK and affiliated organizations, and thirdly, they must stop providing financial support to the Syrian terrorist organization Kurdish People's Protection Force, and avoid contact with Kurdish leaders in Iraq and Syria. The fifth is to stop the so-called false propaganda and lobbying in the country by the wanted fugitives from the Gulen Movement, and the sixth is to speed up the extradition of wanted members of the Kurdish Workers' Party and the People's Protection Force and the Kurdish Community Union to Turkey.

The last four are to demand that Sweden and Finland cease all activities that endanger turkey's national security, work with Turkey to establish mechanisms to combat terrorist organizations, cut off the flow of funds and bank accounts used to raise funds from terrorist organizations, and finally refuse to raise funds for the activities of non-governmental organizations opposing Turkey. It should be noted that the so-called terrorist organizations mentioned above are unilaterally expressed by Turkey and have never been recognized by Sweden and Finland.
