The Jade Osprey is 5.2 cm long, 3.6 cm wide and 0.6 cm thick. The first part has a drill hole, which is drilled on both sides. The front of the body is slightly drummed, and the back is less concave. The same ornament is carved on both sides using a combination of thick and thin yin lines. Osprey is blue-yellow, the jade is smooth and delicate, the posture is strong, the head is turned back, the long-beaked hammerfish, the wings are engraved with cirrus, the wings are raised, the feet are collected, the back hairs fly up, the claws are extended forward, and the claws are carved with limbs, as if the moment of completing the fishing. The small fish is dark brown, standing up with a cocked tail, a head upturned, a double tail, and a fin decorated with a negative line, in the shape of a struggle. The work uses bas-reliefs to outline flat jade blocks, cleverly using the natural colors on the jade to carve into two animals with different colors. More than 3,000 years ago, the jade craftsmen relied on their superb skills and unique vision and meticulous observation of life, and the flying posture of the osprey fishing and the struggling posture of the fish falling on the eagle's mouth were exquisitely fixed on this small jade piece that was only 5.2 long, 3.6 cm wide and 0.6 cm thick, which was a beautifully conceived, beautiful image, accurate proportions, and vivid and vivid western Zhou Dynasty early western Zhou dynasty realistic art treasures; the drill hole in the head of the osprey proved that it was also a very rare ancient art ornament. Its discovery is of great reference value for studying the economic and handicraft development level of the Shang and Zhou Dynasties in the middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River, especially the level of jade carving technology.
