As the first new energy strategic model of the Besturn brand, Besturn Pony will further enhance the competitiveness and influence of Besturn New Energy in the market, and bring consumers a more scenario-based and personalized car experience.
As a new energy passenger vehicle production base established by China FAW, Yancheng Branch will undertake the production of a number of new energy main models of the Besturn brand in the future, which will become an important guarantee to support the development of FAW's own brand and promote the transformation of FAW Besturn new energy. With the acceleration of transformation, FAW Besturn will successively launch 7 new energy models, covering pure electric, plug-in hybrid, extended range power and other types of products.
The Besturn Pony is the first product of FAW Besturn New Energy Transformation and will be officially launched on the 28th of this month. By the end of this year, China FAW Yancheng Branch will successively invest in and transform 30 production lines to reach the level of 100,000 vehicles per year. In the manufacturing process, the body welding is 100% automated, high-precision and zero-error, the 6-layer spraying process brings ultra-high coating quality, and the final assembly is 100% data uploaded to achieve vehicle quality traceability. In terms of quality inspection, the lidar with a measurement accuracy thinner than a human hair ensures that the vehicle clearance is uniform and beautiful, the rain detection intensity of 360-degree surrounding reaches more than twice the national standard, and the test of more than 16 complex road conditions exceeds the industry standard, and the 19 rigorous tests in 4 categories reflect the quality standards of China FAW's major factories.
From the rapid delivery of the Pentium Pony, to the surprise appearance of E311, and then to the high-standard landing of the Yancheng New Energy Factory, FAW Besturn has entered a new round of strategic transformation. Relying on more than 70 years of car manufacturing accumulation of China FAW and complete industrial supporting facilities in Yancheng, FAW Besturn will complete the strengthening of its advantages in the Yangtze River Delta market, which is the core of new energy vehicle consumption, showing a new pattern of coordinated layout of north and south bases and common development of north and south markets.
