Route Introduction

This year,21 stages of the Tour de France, including 6 flat stages, 7 hill stages, 2 timing stages and 6 alpine stages, of which 5 stages end at the top of the mountain, a total of 3328 kilometers, passing through Denmark, Belgium, Switzerland and France, respectively, the winner will be crowned yellow shirt on the Champs Elysées in Paris. The following three parts introduce the basic situation of the 21 stages and make a brief evaluation of the schedule.

The first stage, from S1 to S9, is mainly contested in Denmark, France, Belgium and Switzerland, consisting of a flat sprint, a "Roubaix" section, a hilly area, and an entry-level mountain stage.

Stage 1 (Copenhagen Time Trial)

Contest date: July 1st

Keywords: time trial battle

This year, the Tour de France held three games in Denmark, namely the Copenhagen Time Trial, the Fien Island Sprint, and the Sønderborg Sprint. The Copenhagen Time Trial is 13.2 kilometres, with runners heading north from the Queen Louis Bridge one by one, passing Tivoli Park (4km triangle after departure) and the bronze statue of the Little Mermaid (4km before the finish line) and returning to the finish line along the Corniche.

The road is flat overall, but there are more sharp turns in the middle of the course, which is more testing of the driver's ability to control the car, but the distance of this race is "halved" compared with the 27.2 km schedule of the first time trial of the Tour de France in 2021, which is a good thing for other time trial masters who have lived in the shadow of Bogacha in the past two years, and the shorter schedule also adds a lot of suspense to the champion of this event.

Stage 2 (Roskilde – Niberg)

Contest date: July 2

Keywords: Straits Crosswind

The race is a sprint stage in the Island of Fienne, with a distance of 202 kilometers. The race has 3 level 4 short slopes and 1 sprint point on the way, and the big group initially allows the breakout players to happily obtain climbing points and sprint points on the way, but will chase back all the breakout runners before approaching the Big Pente Bridge in the Great Pente Strait. Next, the large group will usher in the crosswind disturbance of the 18-kilometer-long Grand Pente Bridge, how to reasonably resist the crosswind blowing from the sea and save the physical fitness to meet the sprint before the finish line has become the biggest difficulty of the race, the end point is located in Niberg on the west side of the bridge, and it is expected to end with the group sprint.

Stage 3 (Vejle – Sønderborg)

Contest date: July 3rd

Keywords: Sprint Wars

The race is a sprint stage for Sandborg, from the port city of Vajle in the eastern part of jutland to the south, passing through three short 4-stage steep slopes on the way to the final sandberg, with a distance of 182 kilometers. Due to the change in the format of the Tour de France this year, the first rest day after the third stage is very friendly for the team that is good at flat sprinting, and it is very likely that the second sprint battle will be ushered in after the large group takes back the breakout runners.

Stage 4 (Dunkirk – Calais)

When: July 5

Keywords: long-distance breakouts

The race moved to France to start the next 18 stages, today the race is a stage competition between two port cities, the competition is set up 6 4-level short slopes, the race course is 171 kilometers, very friendly for long-distance breakout players. In particular, the Cape Blank-Niz climbing point on the English Channel coast before the finish line has become a nightmare for sprint masters, and these teams that are good at sprinting will not actively pursue the breakout runners, and are expected to end with the competition of the breakout runners.

Stage 5 (Lille – Alan Belmen Dueno)

Contest date: July 6

Keywords: "Roubaix" test

Today's race runs from Lille, via Roubaix (yes, such as a fake package), and then through parts (Paris - Roubaix), especially the 62 km section near the finish line, Alan Belle Mendouneau, with 11 cobblestone sections of different lengths, which test the overall driver's level of control. If the sky matches and it rains a little more, it will be the beginning of another "Roubaix journey" for the players, which is expected to end with a breakout driver who is good at classical racing.

The race departs from Thumbynes with 3 climbing points and 1 sprint point on the way, the most notable of which is the Maiden Heights (7 km, slope 8.7%) near the finish line, which has been used as the finish line of the Tour de France many times, the most recent being the 2020 time trial, Pogacha's turnaround. The first two climbing points of this stage are not difficult, 3.1 km and 3.2 km respectively, and some of the championship favourites will show their strength in this stage.
