Budapest, 22 Jun (Xinhua) -- The celebration of the 15th anniversary of the confucius institute at Eöland University in Hungary was held in Budapest on the evening of 21 June, attended by nearly 100 people, including Deputy Minister of Culture and Innovation of Hungary, Vitájos Este and Liu Bo, chargé d'affaires a.i. of the Chinese Embassy in Hungary.
Vitajosz Este said that the award of the Confucius Institute at LORTE to the title of Exemplary Confucius Institute fully demonstrates the professional standard of its work. Stimulating strong innovation in Hungary also requires Chinese knowledge and ways of thinking.
Chinese Ambassador to Hungary Qi Dayu said in his congratulatory letter that the Confucius Institute at ROLAND University uses language as a bridge to build a unique channel for cultural exchanges and communication between the two countries. China-Hungary relations are at their best in history. The pragmatic cooperation between the two countries has been deepening, and people-to-people exchanges have been continuously expanded. Looking forward to the future, people-to-people exchanges at multiple levels and in a wide range of fields will surely further promote people-to-people ties between China and Hungary.
