New York photographer and artist Ceres Henry, aka Diaha, shot these powerful portraits for her ongoing series "Adam and Eve."
Before shooting, the artist will elaborately paint the model's body with floral decorations to begin the process.
"Each muse is completely painted, decorated with flowers, and then photographed. The significance of this series is to emphasize that blacks and Africans are works of art that deserve to be appreciated and celebrated. Not afraid, not abusive, not looked down upon. The series refutes the negative narratives and stereotypes of them in the media. ”
