Chen Yitong, head of Nanxiang Berry Farm, believes that the reason why his family's blueberries can sell at a good price is mainly due to high quality, "The berry garden has insisted on using organic fertilizers, artificial weeding in the past ten years, never using chemical fertilizers and pesticides, and green planting has been recognized by consumers." He said that during the Dragon Boat Festival, 300 or 400 tourists entered the park every day, and the ticket income alone was about 30,000 yuan.

In addition to providing picking services, how to let tourists stay and continue to consume has also made many picking gardens rack their brains. However, a person in charge of the picking garden, who did not want to be named, told reporters that the company is committed to the layout of agricultural and tourism integration projects such as farmhouses, but it has been without land available and cannot meet the other leisure needs of tourists. Tourists come from afar to pick, after picking and leaving, on the one hand, the sense of play experience is insufficient, reducing the enthusiasm of "going and wanting to come"; On the other hand, the limited profit space of enterprises has affected the confidence of continuous investment.

How to continue to extend the economic chain of picking and embark on the road of high-quality development? Zhou Shudong, director of the E-commerce and Brand Research Center of Nanjing Agricultural University and deputy director of the Institute of Agricultural Economics, believes that first of all, the farm mainly adheres to planning first, and then decides whether to develop a "picking economy" after fully considering various factors such as land resources, surrounding transportation, and people flow. Relevant government departments should strengthen guidance to avoid duplication of construction and vicious competition. Secondly, in terms of planting varieties, we can cooperate with universities, research institutes, etc., to develop some new varieties or "mix", plant fruits and vegetables to extend the picking tour time.

In Zhou Shudong's view, "wine is also afraid of deep alleys", and each picking garden should strengthen brand promotion on the basis of improving infrastructure such as transportation, such as providing picking route choices for citizens and cooperating with travel agencies to launch picking activities.
