Giethoorn holland is a very beautiful place, known as the most beautiful town in the world, also known as the Venice of the North. It is located in a nature reserve 120 km from the capital Amsterdam, bordering Germany to the east and Belgium to the south.
Due to its low terrain, the river network within its territory is crisscrossed. For more than 700 years, there have never been cars or roads, 176 small wooden bridges connect the village's households, and ancient boats are the means of transportation for people.
The origin of the place name of Giethoorn goes back a long time, and it used to be the place where coal diggers lived. Due to the poverty of the land, the only resource is the underground peat, in order to make a living, people can only continue to dig, and gradually formed different sizes of waterways and lakes. At the same time as the coal was dug, the wild goat horns of more than 1700 years ago were excavated, so people called it Giethoorn Village and have been preserved to this day.
