Red like fire, pink like Xia, white like snow... In early summer, Azabu Mountain, all kinds of lilies compete to open, attracting tourists from all over the world, and the originally silent valley suddenly becomes lively.
On May 25th, the 2nd Lily Agricultural Tourism Cultural Festival of Yueyang City was held in Mabu Village, Guozhen Township, Yueyang Lou District. Liu Qifeng, member of the Standing Committee of the Yueyang Municipal Party Committee and director of the Publicity Department of the Municipal Party Committee, announced the opening of the event.
For a time, wonderful song and dance programs, trendy play facilities, and fragrant local cuisine were all open to tourists. With the goal of creating "the most creative rural tourism", the event actively refines local humanistic elements, displays the style of rural revitalization, and carries out a series of in-depth and interesting special activities of agricultural cultural tourism in line with the cultural purpose of "touring the surrounding areas, tasting nature, chain industry, and promoting development", so as to realize the transformation from traditional "sightseeing tour" to "interactive experience".
Different from last year's first Lily Festival, this year's 500-acre exhibition area is planted with a total of 45 species of wild lilies and 130 varieties of Asian lilies, oriental lilies and other colors, creating a unique lily germplasm resource garden in Yueyang, using lilies as the medium, to create a cultural feast of agricultural tourism that integrates gardening, picking, shopping, cultural creation, photography and sketching, creating multi-level and diversified consumption scenes such as parent-child travel, couple tour, group building tour, and national tour, further launching the Azabu Mountain tourism brand, and building a comfortable "Yueyang City Back Garden" ”。
Azabu Village is a rural revitalization demonstration site of the Provincial Academy of Agricultural Sciences, which provides long-term product research and development and technical services for local lily planting. In March this year, the "Grassroots Contact Point of Academician Bai Lianyang" was unveiled here. After the opening ceremony, Bai Lianyang, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and secretary of the Party Committee of the Provincial Academy of Agricultural Sciences, walked and watched in the park, and when he saw that the lilies attracted many tourists to watch and take pictures, he said with joy that in the future, he will continue to help "Pastoral Pastoral" to make breakthroughs in key technologies and core products, and actively promote the deep integration of the first, second and third industries in Mabu Village and create a national rural revitalization model.
Guests took the stage, lit brilliant fireworks, and jointly released a new product, Hanada Dream Lily Wine. "Any visitor who comes to lily garden can enjoy a free drink!" Zhong Ying, head of Hunan Pastoral Pastoral Agricultural Science and Technology Development Co., Ltd., said that lily wine (formulated wine) is developed by the Provincial Academy of Agricultural Sciences, with high-quality glutinous sorghum and wheat as the main raw materials, adding local high-quality lily bulb extract, with the characteristics of color such as amber, prominent sauce, and sweet mouth, which not only increases the added value of planting lilies, but also becomes a new highlight for local villagers to increase their income.
Villager Deng Yanjun, 50, set up a small stall in the agricultural products sales area during the festival, selling his own asparagus and home-brewed lily to tourists. "I sold almost 100 pounds of asparagus today." Near noon, Deng Yanjun was tired and sweaty, but his smile was as bright as a lily. He told reporters that through the preliminary training, he is now a technical instructor in Lily Park, with a daily salary of 200 yuan, more than 100 days of work a year, and the life at home is "getting better and better every day".
"Bringing young students to the festival is a great opportunity to learn and practice in the countryside." Despite the hot weather, Yan Qiongyu, a full-time teacher at Yueyang Vocational and Technical College, led 20 students to "garrison" the entrance to the park and strictly implement epidemic prevention measures such as "bright code passage". "In 2016, Yueyang Vocational College and Guozhen Township carried out school-site co-construction, and the first rural college in Yueyang was established in Guozhen. The students also actively participated in the live selling of agricultural products, etiquette and floral competitions, which continued to help the revitalization of Guozhen's countryside. ”
During the half-month event, the organizers also launched a series of activities such as the Net Red Scarecrow Punch Card, the Rural Revitalization Creative Market, the Dongting Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition, and the Rural Culture and Folk Festival, so that visitors can enjoy themselves this summer and truly feel the spark of the collision of modern rural life and natural scenery.
