On May 13, in the Guizhou Southwest Guizhou Botanical Garden, China's first wild species (Siqiu tea) in Qingshan Town, Pu'an County, tens of thousands of wild buckwheat leaf lilies, a national second-class protected plant, bloomed one after another, and the fragrant flowers were like white elves, decorating the lush secondary primeval forest with "fairy spirit".

According to the person in charge of the protection point, the buckwheat leaf lily in the protection point grows between 1700 and 1900 meters above sea level, and has long been associated with a variety of woody, herbaceous and liana plants such as four-ball tea tree, ten merits, wheat winter, Chinese kiwifruit, saxifrage grass, wild hickory tree, golden jade mantang, horse jacket wood, etc., and likes moist, cold and shaded environment. There are more than 10,000 buckwheat big-leaf lilies in the protection point, the flowering period is about 40 days, the plant posture is tall and healthy, the basal leaves are large in spring, they are rosette-shaped, the leaf color is green and oily, the leaf shape is beautiful, the flower stem is more than two meters high, the racemes have 5-10 flowers, slim and elegant, white and bright, eye-catching and magnificent, exude a charming faint fragrance.

Interestingly, buckwheat leaf lilies for a year of flowering and dormancy, and the plants that bloomed last year will no longer sprout and bloom this year, but will rest for a year and then bloom again next year; Plants that bloom this year will no longer open next year.

Guizhou Southwest Botanical Garden is also a provincial forest park in Pubai, in recent years, the park has continuously increased its protection efforts to create a "one tree and two gardens" based on the ancient tea tree of Siqiu, and it is also the first wild (Siqiu tea) in situ protection point in China, with nearly 1,000 species of wild plants in the park. Among them, there are 16 kinds of national second-class protected plants such as four-ball tea, Chinese kiwifruit, wild buckwheat leaf lily, etc., in addition, there are more than 200 kinds of wild animals such as small muntjac deer, leopard cat, civet, owl, etc., and wild red-winged maple and other species have been found one after another, and all kinds of rare animals and plants thrive here. The air in the park is fresh and cool, all the eyes are green, and the negative oxygen ions reach 32,904/cm³, which is a good place for research, meditation and lung washing.
