Sunny is now 3 years old and 4 months old and has been in kindergarten for 3 months. From the very beginning of every day at the entrance of the kindergarten, crying because I was reluctant to be separated from my parents, to now I am happy to carry my school bag to say goodbye to my parents! Watching him grow up little by little, slowly becoming more and more sensible, it is time for him to make educational (growth) planning.
Sunny grew up and prepared to enter society, probably around 2045. According to the development goals set by our country itself, we will become a moderately developed country in 2045, which is probably the level of social development in South Korea now. At first, I thought about whether I could predict what society would look like at that time, and then make a corresponding educational plan for Sunny according to the needs of the society at that time. After thinking about it for several days, I found it difficult. Just like in 2000, we predicted life in 2022, when people with Bb machines and big brothers could think of a smartphone in their hands now?
Since the prediction is not reliable, it can only start with some basic capabilities. What are the basic capabilities to remove the professional skills of various industries? What if the ability is high enough to make it easier for a person to succeed in life and work?
1. Health (Sports)
The body is the capital of the revolution, without a healthy body, everything is off the table! Starting from September of this year (2022), the labor class will return to campus as an independent course, and physical education will surpass English in the proportion of class hours to become the third main class! The announcement and implementation of the new curriculum standards means that children have more time to exercise in school. As parents, we should put the child's physical health first, and cultivate the child's body to be awesome, which is the bottom line requirement for parents!
A healthy body requires good living habits + proper physical activity, and I will put the "health (sports)" plan in the first place as the first chapter of Sunny's entire education (growth) plan, and sort it out in the first time.
2. Vision (insight)
What is the biggest difference between children of ordinary families and children of high-level families? The first thing that comes to mind is the gap in resources such as wealth and connections. I personally feel that compared with the gap in personal vision (insight), the gap in resources such as wealth and connections must all be leaned back! How far can one person go? The first is how far you can see! The wealth given by the family and the support of the network are just to make it easier for you to walk.
As a father, I have a responsibility, an obligation, to do everything I can to give Sunny the best possible perspective. How to cultivate Sunny's vision? This will be explained in Chapter 2 of Sunny's entire Education (Growth) Program.
3. Cultural Literacy (Reading, Art)
A generous, gentle person is always welcome. But in fact, if you look closely, you will find that most generous and decent people have their own unique cultural literacy. If you want your child to have your own unique cultural literacy, you must first have culture (knowledge), which requires us as parents to guide our children to develop good reading habits. Secondly, it is also necessary to have a certain artistic cultivation, and with artistic cultivation, there is a ability to distinguish beauty! With the reserve of knowledge, with the ability to discover beauty, plus a happy, happy living environment. Then a child with high emotional intelligence, generous and gentle will not be able to run!
So how to cultivate Sunny's cultural literacy is also a problem that I need to think about as a father! I will take "How to Cultivate Sunny's Cultural Literacy" as the third part of the entire education (growth) plan, and think about and sort it out!
4. Mathematical thinking
Mathematics is the foundation of all science. Mathematical thinking, in simple terms, is the ability to use mathematical knowledge to solve problems (find problems→ ask problems→ analyze problems → solve problems), this ability does not necessarily apply only to the learning of mathematical knowledge. We will always encounter problems of one kind or another in our lives, and how to solve them is our essential skill.
"Interest is the best teacher", how to guide Sunny to make him spontaneously interested in mathematics? This is the fourth part of my future planning that I need to focus on.
5. Logical thinking (programming + living habits)
Do things with strict thinking and clear logic! If you ask someone like this to help you do something, then I think you will always be very relieved. If you want your child to have such an ability, it is essential to first have a well-organized lifestyle! Secondly, learning about programming is also a good choice.
Specifically, how to do it to give Sunny this ability! I'll put it in the fifth part of the whole plan.
6. English (International Perspective)
Although in the new curriculum standards to be implemented this year (2022), the proportion of English lessons will be reduced to a very low level! But I personally think English is still very important! Because it is difficult to imagine that in 20 years our Greater Chinese culture can unify the world! The West, led by the United States, will most likely occupy the commanding heights of global science and technology in the foreseeable future, we still have a lot of things to learn from the West, and the learning of English still cannot be relaxed! It's always good to take ten thousand steps back and speak more than one language.
As an ordinary family, we lack the English language environment, how to make Sunny can learn English better and easier, is also an important part of the planning.
7. Financial quotient
"Financial quotient" does not only refer to financial management ability, it includes the concept of money, consumption, and financial management! There is a famous japanese saying: "Except for sunlight and air, which are given by nature, everything else must be obtained through labor." How to let children learn to exchange their own labor for wealth and how to use their wealth is an important proposition in the growth process of children, and it is also one of the important cornerstones for them to have a happy life!
In the school's education, the "financial quotient" is basically 0, which requires us parents to make up for this lesson for our children! It will also be the last part of the whole education (growth) plan I did for Sunny.
