Wilson Benesch's new product range is present at audio show 2022 in Munich, Germany

author:Home Appliance Forum

At this year's reopened audio show in Munich, Germany, Wilson Benesch/Jinchi will hold the first exhibition of the second flagship of the brand catalog, Omnium/Little Pope, and officially announce the new generation of Fibonacci products. It can be seen that the Omnium is almost exactly the same as the flagship Eminence/Pope, except that there is one less woofer in appearance.

The Little Pope features an A.C.T. 3 Zero Monocoque shell and the company's proprietary Tactic 3.0 woofer and Fibonacci tweeter. Because the Little Pope continues to build with Wilson Benesch's "modular design" concept, for each new design, the modular design is built on its original foundation to optimize. Just like the Porsche 911, it is not a single design, but a heritage and evolution of a pedigree, continuous improvement over 30 years of experience, with the goal of pursuing truly world-class audio replay.

Interestingly, the Little Pope (from Latin "of all") is what Wilson Benesch calls the world's first "green speaker": the SSUCHY project is a green production program launched by Kingways in 2017, and the Little Pope speaker is one of the deliverables of its project. The project, which invested $7.4 million in Europe, brings together 13 universities, 4 SMEs and several blue-chip companies to collaborate and innovate. Its goal is to provide the cutting-edge science and materials technology needed for a circular economy – its mission is to replace non-recyclable materials made from petroleum-based manufacturing and provide the next generation of recyclable material technologies.

The Fibonacci tweeter panel is made of carbon fiber composite structure with a geometrically optimized waveguide design and a Silk-Carbon hybrid dome tweeter. The panel is separated from the voice coil and chassis for a flat frequency response and ultra-wide diffusion, with optimal articulation and phase characteristics when combined with the Tactic3.0 midrange driver.

The Tactic 3.0 drivers feature a cone disc unit made of woven carbon fiber, while the MW driver features a split-no-part, direct amplifier-coupled design. This direct cross-link technology is designed for zero phase distortion.

The main low-frequency load of the Little Pope is provided by a series of isobaric drive systems. Here, the two drive units are combined to form a face-to-face structure, and the diaphragm of one drive unit works in a push-pull structure to the other unit diaphragm.

The stepped base on the feet of the Little Pope is also referenced by its flagship model, the Epinence Pope. Manufactured by Wilson Benesch from CNC in a single aluminum blank, the 80 kg solid aluminum billet was reduced by more than half, resulting in a 38 kg Omnium speaker foot.
