As one of Switzerland's most respected contemporary artists, Jürg St uble's sculptures and installations are subtlely disturbing. He was constantly innovating with materials and technology, always looking for each of the more complex forms that often evoked natural phenomena such as flowing water or stone sediments. Between natural memory and the future, between high technology and primitive, his elegant and thoughtful practice constantly asks questions.
Jürg St uble's work is set against the backdrop of minimalism and conceptual art. His sculptures, installations, etc. come from the order of the geometric system, for whom geometry is only a starting point or path, not a goal. Therefore, the basic construction principles of his work are based on the search between rational construction and irrational appearances to produce results that reflect the forces of nature, rather than reshaping.
