According to Yonhap News Agency, Yoon Seok-yue said in his inaugural speech that it is necessary to rebuild a country that truly belongs to the people based on a liberal democracy and a market economy system, and to make South Korea a responsible country in the international community.

Yoon Seok-yue cited the various issues currently facing Korean society, including covid-19, supply chain restructuring, climate change, and the food and energy crisis. He pointed out that solving these problems is the proper meaning of politics, but South Korean politics is facing a democratic crisis and has not played a role.

For the intensification of social contradictions and polarization, Yin Xiyue believes that in the process of economic growth, the people can find new development opportunities, and rapid economic growth can only be achieved based on science and technology and innovation.

On the DPRK policy, Yoon Seok-yue said that the ROK will open the door to dialogue and strive to peacefully resolve the DPRK nuclear issue. If North Korea stops its nuclear weapons development and achieves true denuclearization, South Korea will work with the international community to help North Korea improve its economic situation.

After the ceremony, Yoon reportedly canceled the traditional motorcade parade, visiting a nearby community center for the elderly and a children's park, and meeting diplomatic envoys in the afternoon.

After that, Yin Xiyue will attend the celebration ceremony at the National Assembly at 16:00, and will also go to the Guest House of the Shilla Hotel to attend the reception dinner for foreign guests, officially ending the inauguration schedule.

At 00:00 on the 10th, Yoon Seok-yue officially exercised the presidency and took over the command of the ROK army in the bunker of the new presidential palace in Yongsan, Seoul. It is reported that taking over the command of the army is the core procedure for the transfer of power by the head of state of South Korea. On the 11th, the Yin Xiyue government will also hold the first meeting of senior cadres of the whole army, and Lee Jong-sup, the new minister of national defense, will preside over the meeting on the same day.

After Yin Xiyue took office, the Blue House also ended the 74-year-long era of the presidential palace and opened to the public.
