American headphone manufacturer JH Audio recently released a new flagship custom headphone: Sharona.
The Sharona is a custom headset designed for stage monitoring and listenback, with 16 moving iron units on one side, which is also a new high for JH Audio stack units (the previous flagship was a unilateral 12 unit).
Sharona uses a 4-way design consisting of 4 LF units, 4 IF units, 4 MID-HF units, and 4 UHF units.
It is worth mentioning that Sharona uses a 4-composite UHF unit (previously a dual-unit) customized to Knowles( Lou), which is also the first time that the 4-composite unit has been applied to custom headphones.
It is foreseeable that because of the emergence of this new unit, more headphone manufacturers will begin to enter a new round of heap unit competition in the future.
In addition, Sharona ditched the long-used proprietary 7-pin headphone pin in favor of a more versatile T2-spec pin.
Now more and more custom headphone brands such as UE, Westone, ACS and so on have begun to choose to use the T2 specification of the pin, the future of this specification may become the mainstream pin specification to replace mmcx, 2Pin.
The Sharona sells for $2,299, which is only $100 more expensive than the former flagship Layla, and is very good at the price in JH Audio's products according to the degree of stacking.
