From the earlier journals of New China in the 1950s to the selection of core journals of Chinese, from the core journals of Chinese to the breakthrough of The C journal of Nanjing University in 1999, from the high-level shock to the ordinary journals that no longer have the scenery to the core journals of C and Chinese that have once again jumped into the well-known domestic C journals and Chinese, the Journal of Shanshi, as a comprehensive normal university journal rooted in the fertile soil of Qilu culture, whenever it deeply inserts the plough into the soil and holds its breath with the courage of the new life of the cattle, the soil that has been plated begins to loosen hard. That ancient land thus exudes a new vitality of life! This is both a glorious experience of history and a heavy lesson: If there is no sense of worry-free suffering, if there is no perseverance and perseverance, can Ann seek great development with a great future?
The "Question of the C Issue" raises new worries
In 2010, Shang Zhixiao, then secretary of the Party Committee of Shandong Normal University, discovered an unexpected reality during the research of the journal: the Journal of Shandong Normal University was not A C journal! This is not only extremely inconsistent with the strength of the liberal arts of Shandong Normal University, which has always been known for its literary and historical research, but also with the practical needs of "joint construction between provinces and ministries" that are being achieved by the whole school. Looking back at the history of the development of the Mountain Teachers Journal, she is not without the glory days of the past, however, the Mountain Teachers Journal, which is at the forefront of the times, soon encountered a little embarrassment. The Journal of Mountain Teachers, which should have been facing the rising sun of the new century and striving to start a new journey, faced the "cold spring." With the loss of the Mountain Normal Journal in the "C Journal" and "Chinese Core Journals" and other core journal rankings. Secretary Shang Zhixiao's question of "C Journal" aroused the long-lost "sense of crisis" of the people of the Mountain Normal University. Whether it is from the sequence of China's entire humanities and social science journals, or from the sequence of university journals, the ranking of Shanshi Journal is not optimistic, such a once brilliant academic center, in the blink of an eye fell into the embarrassing situation of ordinary journals.
Retrospective history shows problems
Instead of "hiding in a small building to form a unity", it is better to "endure the pain and turn over and dare to meet". History may remember May 2011, this special month. The Journal of Mountain Teachers began to truly face the serious problems in reality, trying to sort out the history of the journal with the attitude of "taking care of what is going on", clarifying the crux of the problem, and establishing a new direction of development of the journal. As the new editor-in-chief, in line with the "four noes" concept of "not avoiding problems, not afraid of difficulties, not afraid of challenges, and not losing confidence", I led the journal to face history and reality squarely, and established a new idea of journal development in comparison and mirroring. Each journal member claimed a task of his own and solemnly began the work of investigating the problems of the journal. After three months of hard work, the already vague appearance of the Mountain Teachers' Journal gradually became clear. When we read these historical data and lists of items, we suddenly found that the contrast between the past and the present of the Journal of Mountain Teachers was so sharp. The history of the Mountain Teachers' Journal has been densely packed and the honors are innumerable; but the current reality of the Mountain Teachers' Journal is no longer brilliant.
In history, the Journal of Shanshi has made great efforts to adhere to the system and principles, adhere to the scientific review of drafts, and take quality as the core index of the publication of academic newspapers and periodicals, which makes the journal set a miracle of 65 reprints of copies of materials by the People's Congress in 1995, laying a solid foundation for the journal to enter the "core" circle. However, with the extreme shortage of funds for running the journal, the editor has no material basis for "going out and inviting in", and the future path of the Shanshi Journal has become blurred.
In the face of history and reality, when everyone thought that the journal was far away from the core journal, as the "leader" of the Shanshi Journal, I was worried and haggard and couldn't sleep all night. There was only one question swirling back and forth in my mind: how to solve the "return to C" puzzle? However, the time is pressing, the road that can be chosen is so tortuous and forced, if we do not grasp the opportunity of the times and realize the leap in the comprehensive strength of the Shanshi Journal, then the academic platform of the Shanshi Journal will retreat from the first echelon to the second echelon in the sudden rise of other university journals, and some journals that were not competitors of the Shanshi Journal will take advantage of the momentum and achieve catch-up with the Shanshi Journal. The circumstances show that this is a battle that cannot be lost. However, winning this battle is really difficult. At this time, it is difficult for the journal to achieve even the basic journal standards, so how to leapfrog and take off?
Rise up and overcome difficulties
Without the courage to face history squarely, we cannot generate the determination to dream of the future. Perhaps, history is destined to make a few jokes with the Journal of mountain teachers; perhaps, the growth path of the journal is destined not to be straight, just as steel is destined to go through thousands of hammers. As a journal that has created a glorious history, why can't the Journal of Mountain Division fight back and return to the core?
The road to reality is doomed to be bumpy and thorny. Faced with various risks and tests, the mountain teachers showed their determination and enthusiasm not to give up until they reached the goal, and began to trek step by step towards the peak of the "C Journal". To this end, we began the process of racing against time: the running in reality is really grasping hard work, running funds, running equipment, running manuscript support, I took the editorial staff of the Shanshi Journal to the north and south, as far as possible to participate in various academic conferences and take the initiative to ask the famous artists in the spirit of "salesmen"; the running in the spirit is not to give up, not to relax, to establish new rules, to open a new bureau, and to care about the development of the journal at all times. In order to obtain the best quality manuscript source of the journal, we collectively set new rules to adhere to the principle, in the face of various pressures and interference to adhere to the "one ruler to the end"; in order to be able to get the re-approval of the academic community, I personally went to the battle to repeatedly proofread the manuscript under the condition of insufficient manpower, and sometimes the dense revision moved the author and even shocked! In 2012, the journal began to break out of the siege, and won the 46th place in the reprint rate of the national college liberal arts newspaper in the "copy newspaper materials", and jumped to the top 12 in the reprint rate in 2013. Since then, the journal has maintained a high reprint rate ranking. Facts have proved that it is our double "running" in spirit and reality that makes the journal win the best opportunity for development. In 2017, the good news of the journal was frequent: first it successfully took over the baton of the key conference of the journal industry, and held the "Third Academic Journals Literary Editing Forum" with high quality, which won the unanimous praise of the journal community; then after nearly 10 years of silence, it returned to the ranks of peking university's "Chinese core journals"; soon after, the Shanshi Journal entered the extended edition of "C Journal".
Looking back at the passing years and thinking about the brilliant achievements we have created, we can't help but sigh. At that time, in front of the Mountain Division Journal, there was a rapid stream of the Turbulent River that people thought was almost impossible to cross, and it was a lonely boat that was almost impossible to reach the other shore, but the Mountain Division Journal people finally achieved a breakthrough in the expanded version of the "C Journal" and the core journal of the Chinese with the spirit of never accepting defeat. However, if we wander in the midst of victory and do not think of making progress, we will not have a sense of distress, and how can we not face loss when we lose our sense of distress? It is not terrible that problems arise, but there is no courage to face problems and determination to reform.
Stand-up heel innovation machine
"With the strength of the good wind, send me to the clouds." This is a famous quote that Professor Zhu Defa, the former consultant of the Journal of Mountain Teachers, used to encourage my progress during my doctoral studies. Taking advantage of the opportunity of the journal entering the "C Journal" expanded edition and the peking university Chinese core, the Shanshi Journal did not stop, but on the contrary, in line with the concept of establishing a foothold and starting again, it consolidated the existing achievements bit by bit, and continued to work towards the goal of "C Journal" step by step. When marching towards the kingdom of dreams, the mountain master did not revel in the beautiful scenery in front of them, but more consciously absorbed historical experience and strengthened the "three passes" of the journal manuscript. While cherishing the results in front of it, the Journal of Mountain Teachers has not stopped exploring. While many journals are still developing under the thinking of the printing age, Shanshi Journal actively responds to the opportunities and challenges of the digital era and continuously expands the popularity of the journals. Since 2011, Shanshi Journal has begun the process of digital dissemination in the academic journal industry earlier, and has issued more than 200,000 electronic journals. In 2018, the journal of mountain teachers that took five years to sort out was fully digitized. In the history of the development of mountain teacher disciplines, the journal can be called a rich mine. It is not only a witness to the academic strength of the mountain teacher, but also a witness to the development of the mountain division discipline. We, the people of the Mountain Master, have not only become the discoverers and excavators of this rich mine, but also the selfless sharers. We upload the most extensive academic resources of Shanshi to the journal website in chronological order for all researchers to browse and learn. Through practical efforts, while touching readers and academic circles, it has also expanded the popularity of the Journal of Mountain Teachers.
"A gentleman moves with the times and goes with the flow." As the editor-in-chief of the Journal of Mountain Teachers, my running never stopped. Since I became editor-in-chief, I have become accustomed to a clockwork life, running tirelessly every day. From planning topic selection to column setting, from draft to review, from editing to draft, issue after issue, cycle after cycle, there is always something that cannot be done. The cold and summer, the internal and external work of the journal, have all become the most important concerns in my heart. After the publication of each periodical, I do not forget to communicate with the authors on the phone to exchange experiences, and talk openly and honestly about the problems and gains and losses. In the office of the editor-in-chief, which was not spacious, I sometimes meditated, sometimes I struggled to write, forgetting the grass and trees sprouting outside the window, forgetting the green trees, forgetting the yellow leaves. In those cold winter ice and snow-covered days, my heart has always been a fervent expectation: let the Mountain Teachers Journal return to the ranks of "C Journal"!
In 2019, the moment when the Shanshi Journal was selected for the "C Journal", it aroused the long-lost dream of "Zhengrong Years" of many Shanshi Journals! When many people fall into pessimism, we finally usher in the dawn at the last moment with a momentum of never accepting defeat if we have the conditions to go up and create the conditions without the conditions.
The innovation path starts again
In the face of this victory, the Shanshi Journal can completely hold up champagne to celebrate another self-transcendence in the history of the Shanshi Journal. Yet the dialectics of history warn us that new opportunities always harbor crises. Objectively speaking, since the Journal of Shanshi University entered the new era, especially after achieving a series of major breakthroughs such as the "core of the Chinese", "C journal", and "people's congress photocopied materials" important reprint source journals, we have stood at a new starting point in history. Looking up, we are already at the forefront of the queue of Shandong university journals. However, the prosperity of this appearance can easily make us self-satisfied and forget our original intentions. In the face of the new situation, if you are only satisfied with the success of the journal and ignore the development of the overall situation of the school, then all the work may fall into the misunderstanding of "giving up the end of the book", "becoming a small family" instead of "building a big cause" and easily leading to the stagnation of the cause. Under the guidance of the policy of first-class universities and first-class disciplines, Shanshi began a new round of running since the "joint construction of provinces and ministries". As the core symbol of the academic competitiveness of a university, the journal should not be excluded from the matter, but should be deeply involved in the upsurge of first-class discipline construction. Tang Yanzhou, secretary of the party committee of the school, pointed out when he went to the journal to investigate the school that the journal should dock with the grand blueprint of the school, grasp the idea of "double first-class" university construction and "new liberal arts" construction, and do a good job in scientific planning of journal construction. This undoubtedly points out a new direction for the development of the journal and raises new questions.
By combing the past history of the Mountain Master's Journal, absorbing the strength to start and run again, make full efforts in Bacon to cast the soul, and write a new chapter in pioneering and innovating! In order to dock the "double first-class" construction goal of the mountain division and the "new liberal arts" teaching reform, the journal took the lead and actively planned. We have opened the exploration of the journal's work from two aspects: one is to sort out and publish the existing discipline historical materials of the journal; the other is to solicit opinions on how to connect the journal with the construction of first-class disciplines at present. Under the guidance of the specific goals of first-class discipline construction, the journal took the lead in launching the "Journal Essence" series of books. This series of books takes the presentation of solid journal historical materials as the scripture, reflects the general trend of the academic history of the mountain division as the latitude, and provides objective first-hand research historical materials for the discipline development and academic exchanges of the mountain division in the past 70 years. In order to allow researchers and school teachers to quickly find the historical information of the construction of this discipline from the complex historical materials, the editorial department of the journal began to compile and select the "Journal of Shandong Normal University" and the "Literature Department". In the past 5 years, we have compiled and published 18 books in the collection and publication of 18 books, and these editing work has been completed in spare time and without any remuneration. Among them are "Mountain Teacher Scholar and Mountain Teacher's Journal: A Study Volume of Pedagogical Psychology" and "Modern and Contemporary Chinese Literature under the Threshold of Mountain Teacher Scholar". From the perspective of discipline history, these books provide a basis for the study of marxist theory, literature, and the history of education in the well-known disciplines of Shanshi Liberal Arts. On this basis, it was also gathered into the "Chronicle of the Development of the Mountain Teacher Scholar and the Journal of mountain teachers (Humanities and Social Sciences Edition)", which was outlined at the same time, so that the "discipline history" of the mountain teachers bloomed in the specific space of the journal.

When the Mountain Division Journal, which was accustomed to being the "vanguard soldier", became the "middle soldier", and when the former "pacesetter" of the journal became the journal "chasing soldier", the Mountain Division Journal burst out of the pioneering enthusiasm of overcoming difficulties in the midst of sorrow and hardship, and began the quest for nirvana rebirth. The history of the Journal of Mountain Teachers tells us that "envy" is not as good as "learning", "waiting" is not as good as "doing", "keeping" is not as good as "creating", life never cares for those who follow the old ways and meet the status quo, never waits for those who do not think of making progress and sits back and enjoy their achievements, but leaves more opportunities for people who are brave and good at innovation. The development of history shows that when the mountain division scholars are born in a chasing posture, we can cross the turbulent rivers and trek on the muddy roads! Looking forward to the coming days, the people of the Mountain Teachers Journal have once again drawn the strength to move forward from the historical review, that is, we must create a new history of the Mountain Teachers Journal! The Journal of Mountain Teachers should lay down the burden of honor, bid farewell to the past, go light, and write the new glory of history again in the new arena!
