Manchester United's new manager wants to restructure the team's wing configuration, and the five-goal star into the reinforcement list is led by the old department of Jia Fu

It has been nearly a decade since United last won the Premier League, and the 2021-22 season has been another disastrous season for the former King of England. United started the season with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, but the Norwegian was sacked just before Christmas and eventually replaced by interim manager Ralph Lonnick. Ronnick hasn't fared much better than his predecessor as United have no trophy this season and don't look like they're qualifying for the Champions League. United then hired Eric Ten Haag, who will join United this summer and adjust the squad again. For a coach who prefers attacking from the flanks, given the Red Devils' excellent winger tradition, they will focus on this feature this summer. Here are five wingers they may be looking for this summer.

Doku (Rennes)

Doku shined for Belgium at Euro 2020, a longtime admirer of the talented winger. Unfortunately, injuries have limited his performance in the 2021-22 season so far, with just four league starts, but he still scored one goal and assisted twice. Docu's biggest advantage is his amazing speed, which will fit United's attacking system, while Cristiano Ronaldo and Bruno Fernandez are relatively weak in their ability to move. It's a future-oriented investment, but since the Belgian now has the ability to contribute to the team, he could be contested by more big clubs before another top European club gets him first.

Danjuma (Villarreal)

Danjuma has underperformed in the Premier League in 2019-20, making just 14 appearances in his only season with Bournemouth so far. But since then, Danjuma's progress has been astonishing. During a tough Championship season, he scored 17 goals and assisted seven times, which led to a move to Villarreal last summer. His form was extended in Spain, scoring 10 goals in La Liga, assisting three times and scoring eight goals in the club's epic Champions League journey. Villarreal is reluctant to let him go, especially considering he only joined last summer, but United are interested in him and could bring the Dutchman back to England.

Orisei (Crystal Palace)

Led by head coach Patrick Vieira, Orisei has been one of the key players in Crystal Palace's transition to a more aggressive style of football this season. The 20-year-old only came here last summer from The Championship's Reading and contributed 19 goals in 37 Championship starts last season. In the 2021-22 season he had to wait for the opportunity to join Crystal Palace's main squad, starting just 15 games in all competitions and making 15 more appearances as a substitute. But Olissy has an impressive stats of four goals and eight assists in these games, which has put him in touch with some of the teams that have played in Europe.

Anthony (Ajax)

In the race to sign Ajax star Anthony, United are clearly in the lead. Eric Ten Haag reportedly wanted to bring the attacker, and the familiarity was sure to appeal to the young striker. He will also improve the position the club has struggled with all season. Anthony has the kind of exciting style of play that the club has always favoured, so the current reports are supporting his move from Ajax to Manchester United.

Rafinha (Leeds)

Rafinha is another name that could be of interest, and he has been in contact with several other top clubs for some time. The Brazilian has scored 10 goals and assisted three times in the Premier League this season, despite a tough situation for Leeds United. The age of 26 is also the best time to take the next step in his career, and taking him away from the team of nemesis can be attractive to the Red Devils.
