#Original #Wednesday, April 27, sunny day, a glimpse of the coast of Ostia. This is the 13th district of Rome, with a population of about 250,000, located more than 20 kilometers west of the city, bordering the Tyrrhenian Sea, 2 meters above sea level, and is the most popular place for Romans to swim in summer. The city of Ancient Ostia is nearby, still in the process of archaeological excavations, and is open to visitors for tickets to visit the ruins of the Roman era.

Figure 1-3: Porto di Roma, located at the northernmost tip of the seafront, near the mouth of the Tiber River, is mainly used for mooring private yachts, providing services such as catering and shopping, but not engaged in maritime freight and passenger activities, the whole environment is elegant and quiet, belonging to a leisure place.

Fig. 4-6: The 10-kilometer-long lido is lined with free beaches at the southernmost point, which belongs to the territory of naked swimmers. It's not hot at the end of April, and not many people come to take a bath, but on weekends it's still overcrowded, blowing the sea breeze and basking in the sun. There are many stalls on the beach, including Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Pakistan, mainly selling beach towels, Indian products, colorful, a piece of 15 euros, can bargain for half.

Fig. 7-9: The seaside is a scene, the view is wide, the folk customs are simple, and the urban architecture still retains the appearance of Mussolini's era. At the end of the 19th century, the beach was managed by Ravenna immigrants, who originally planned to build a large maritime port, but was later stopped by the government in 1928 and planned to open a bathing beach, leaving a summer shelter for the city's people. Now it seems that this development direction is right, taking into account the concept of human living space and livability, and has not destroyed the natural environment due to the pursuit of economic benefits.
