Oscar Valdez vs Shakur Stevenson
The championship battle between current WBO super featherweight champion Shakur Stevenson and Mexican boxing champion Oscar Valdez, the current WBC super featherweight champion, will be held on May 1, Beijing time.
Shakur Stevenson (17-0, 9 KOs) is 24 years old and has a height of 170cm with an arm span of 173cm. A silver medalist at the Rio 2016 Olympics, he began his professional boxing career in 2017, won the WBO featherweight title in 2019 and just won the WBO Super featherweight title in the 10th leg of October 2021.
Oscar Waldez (30-0, 23 KOs) is 31 years old and has a height of 165cm and an arm span of 165cm. He began his professional boxing career in 2012 and won the WBO Featherweights Gold Belt in 2016 before defending his title six times in a row. He won the WBC Super Featherweights Gold Belt in 2021 and just defended his title in a point-and-shoot victory over Robson Conceicao last September.
