The 001 digital contestant "Ling" has been endowed with a brain with strong innovation ability and wisdom since birth. According to the scientific research team, her facial expression is controlled by more than 800 "bones", and the facial material is dynamically adjusted by 82 material parameters. "'Spirit' is the crystallization of the integration of semantic, speech and visual three major AI technologies, representing a new paradigm of future human-computer interaction, and is expected to become the key to communicating the real and virtual in the future metaverse world."
In order to make digital people realize that every smile is like a real person, the team has built a light field acquisition platform and a high-precision face model and material acquisition system, including 80 triangular faces, 42 vertices and 120 edges, and a set of light sources are installed on the midpoint and vertex of each edge, each group of light sources is facing the center of the ball, and the extinction and luminous intensity can be controlled separately. The spherical light stage is evenly arranged around its center of 36 Canon 850D cameras for the acquisition of face images, extreme expressions and face materials in all angles of view, in order to finally reconstruct high-precision 3D models and materials of faces.
