People make history, and labor creates the future. Looking back at the road ahead, generation after generation of Chinese Communists have united and led the Chinese people to carry out relay struggles, creating one miracle after another in the annals of history, and composing a magnificent epic poem of swallowing mountains and rivers.

Because of the creation of labor, we have the glory of history; because of the creation of labor, we have achieved today's achievements. Starting today, this edition launches the "Miracle Born Here" column, which tells the glorious story of countless heroes and hundreds of millions of people in various departments, all fronts, all walks of life, and create miracles, and inspires every ordinary and great strivers to water the harvest with sweat in every ordinary and great post, move forward with hard work, and constantly compose the song of laborers in the new era.

Driving through the Sanjiang Plain, it is the season of rice planting, and it is a busy spring scene. People in the farmland rushed back and forth, draping the black earth with a light green veil.

The River flows from west to east into the Ussuri River, with swamps and reeds on both sides. Comrades in the reclamation area with them suggested that this was vaguely the appearance of the beginning of the reclamation of the "Northern Wilderness".

People make history, and labor creates the future. After more than 70 years of development and construction, generations of volunteers have continued to struggle here, and the "Beidahuang", which was once named because of the desolation, has become an important commodity grain base and a grain strategic reserve base on the mainland, with a new name of "Beidacang".

"Over the past 70 years, Beidahuang has produced a total of 957.06 billion kilograms of grain, delivered and sold 811.66 billion kilograms of commodity grain to the state, and the comprehensive grain production capacity has been stable at more than 40 billion kilograms for 11 consecutive years, making a major contribution to the Chinese stabilizing its own rice bowl." Wang Shoucong, secretary of the party committee and chairman of the board of directors of Beidahuang Agricultural Reclamation Group Co., Ltd., said.

Go into the wilderness and water the sweat

Driving south from the Naoli River Wetland to the shore of Xingkai Lake, General Wang Zhen led the division to develop the Monument to the Great Northern Wilderness.

"Ancient wasteland, uninhabited, thorny, inhabited by beasts... Beginning in 1947 AD, the Reclamation Warriors advanced. The inscription bing bingxian brought the reporter's thoughts back to that difficult era of entrepreneurship.

In 1947, in response to Chairman Mao's great call to "establish a consolidated base area in the northeast," the people's army from Yan'an advanced into the Northern Wilderness and awakened the sleeping wasteland.

"The leader said 'it's here,' and we got down from the plow and looked around, and there was nothing but a big tree." When he first arrived, Li Huaicun, a retired employee of qixing farm in his eighties, still remembers it vividly, and this veteran soldier who transferred from the army to the northern wilderness in 1966 has been rooted in the local area for more than half a century.

Reincarnated officers and soldiers, young people on the border, young people in urban knowledge... In the past few decades, nearly a million reclamation troops have rushed to the northeast corner of the motherland, integrating sweat into the wilderness and watering the black soil with youth.

"Get up at 3:30 a.m. and come back to the sky full of stars." Nibbling on frozen steamed buns, snowflake soup is served. Walking on the road of entrepreneurship, I am not afraid of all difficulties..."

Between interviews, the elderly Li Huaicun softly hummed the ballad of that year, "Revolutionary ideals are higher than the sky, and the harsh natural and material conditions have not made us shrink back." ”

In the past, the Northern Wilderness is now the Northern Northern Cang. From the southern foothills of The Xiaoxing'anling Mountains and the Songnen Plain to the Sanjiang Plain, the former deserted virgin land, today's fertile fields are contiguous, forest belts are intertwined, and towns are chessed, and the annual grain output has jumped from 0.048 billion catties in the early days of reclamation to more than 46 billion catties in 2021. Today, the Northern Wilderness provides the country with nearly 14% of its commercial grains, accounting for 2.4% of the country's arable land.

Equipment updates The spirit is not extinguished

Last year, Li Yang, a post-90s man who worked at a local television station, decided to change careers to become a technician at the Agricultural Machinery Service Center of Chahayang Farm after doing a report. That issue of the report told the story of Liang Jun, the first female tractor driver in New China.

In 1948, the Heilongjiang Provincial Party Committee held a training course for tractor drivers, with more than 70 students in the class, only Liang Jun was a girl.

Weeds are taller than people, there are dry reed ponds everywhere, and the difficulty of opening up the land is self-evident. In the wilderness, Liang Jun ate boiled potatoes, drank gutter water, slept in a tent, and often encountered wild beasts at night...

After reporting, the story of Liang Jun's reclamation spread all over the world. Female cadets continued to come to be in the Northern Wilderness and formed the first women's tractor team on the mainland, with Liang Jun as the captain. From tractor drivers to university students to agricultural technology experts – for more than half a century, Liang Jun's spirit of labor has inspired countless people to dream of the Northern Wilderness.

Li Yang's maternal grandfather, Liu Fengshan, graduated from university in 1961 and reported to the Chahayang farm that Liang Jun had once reclaimed, and became an agricultural mechanic.

"Use agricultural machinery to rake the land, and rely on the eyes to command." As a "veteran" who has been working as an agricultural mechanic for 45 years, Liu Fengshan recalled that in those years when he first worked, everyone was "plowing and panting" - the tractor only took care of the traction, and the people followed the stable wooden plow, tired and breathless.

"New equipment has been introduced one after another, and the horsepower of agricultural machinery has doubled." Li Yang's father, Li Haifu, joined the work in 1983 and witnessed the rapid improvement of the mechanization rate in the reclamation area, "Now there are tractors, harvesters, rice transplanters, field management and aircraft navigation operations, and there is no longer a need to 'face the loess and turn your back to the sky'." However, the spirit of hard work and hard work in those years cannot be lost. ”

Nowadays, Beidou satellite navigation is becoming the "sky eye" of agricultural machinery operations. "After setting the AB point, the agricultural machine can operate automatically, accurately and straightly, and the driver only needs to turn around." These days, Li Yang is busy correcting parameters on the computer, he invented the "one car, one table" work method, more than 10 items of information reflecting the operation of the locomotive are collected in a table, which can better save food and reduce losses.

Looking at the statue of Liang Jun on the main road of the farm, Li Yang said: "The spirit of the Great Northern Wilderness is the baton, which will be passed down from generation to generation here." ”

Serve the overall situation and be brave to take responsibility

On April 14, a special train full of 3,000 tons of rice was urgently sent from Harbin to Shanghai to help prevent and control the epidemic. "After 36 hours of uninterrupted production, we successfully completed the processing task of 500 tons of high-quality rice." The person in charge of Beidahuang Rice Industry Group Co., Ltd. said.

"Heilongjiang Reclamation District was born out of the national strategy, and the people in the reclamation area have always taken it as their responsibility to ensure national food security and the effective supply of important agricultural products, and obey and serve the overall situation of the country." Wang Shoucong said.

During the fight against SARS in 2003, Beidahuang Rice Group set a record of shipping 20,000 tons of high-quality rice to Beijing in 7 days, alleviating the grain shortage in the capital; during the Wenchuan earthquake in 2008 and the drought in the five southwestern provinces in 2010, Beidahuang Rice Industry urgently processed and transported 2,400 tons and 10,500 tons of rice respectively, effectively ensuring the grain supply in the disaster area... Wang Cuixian, deputy secretary of the party committee of Beidahuang Agricultural Service Group, introduced.

Walking into the Beidahuang Museum, a 25-meter-long copper wall is a contemplative wall engraved with the names of more than 12,000 pioneers. "This is only part of it, since the development and construction of the Beidahuang, more than 50,000 people have been buried in this black land." The docent introduced, "More than 70 years of ups and downs have created a magnificent chapter. Every year, the layers of wheat waves on the earth are the songs of the laborers written on the black earth. ”

"True life is pioneering. Only when there is a strong sense of dedication can life appear full, only then can the spirit be supplied, the difficulties can be overcome, and the peak can be climbed. ”

——Zhang Yuanpei, known as the "father of the northern wilderness cow".

"I am not rich, let alone rich, I can wear a pair of rubber shoes for decades as a day on the field, I can use a ballpoint pen to write dozens of thick notes, but for the development of the rice industry in the reclamation area, I am willing to do anything." What do people want in this lifetime? Figure career, figure ideal, I want to let every Chinese can eat the sweet rice of the Great Northern Wilderness. ”

——Xu Yirong, known as the "father of rice in the Northern Wilderness".

"At that time, there was a lot of grain piled up on the drying field. Because this is the state, none of us are going to move a grain. ”

--Kong Dexi, grain custodian at 853 Farm. In the 1960s, food became a scarce commodity for the country. He guarded the mountain of grain piles day and night, and even if he starved for a long time, he never touched a single grain.

"Communists can only consciously adapt themselves to the revolution, and must never demand that the revolution adapt to themselves."

——Zhang Wenzhong, as a veteran soldier who participated in the 25,000-mile Long March, struggled all his life in the Northern Wilderness.

"Hard work, vow to turn barren mountains into green mountains."

——Sun Junfu, a farm worker in Ning'an. In the mountains without electricity and cultural life, from 1976 to 1995, a total of 480,000 trees were planted, with a total area of 1,480 mu, creating more than 16 million yuan of wealth for the country.

"The northern wilderness, the red flag is raised, the scenery is good, and the production army goes to the battlefield." Bare hands, empty fists, bare heads, backbones, true brothers, good boys! Grass-built houses, reeds as walls, reeds folded wages, grass illuminated, grass bedding, reed pad beds. Today's grass is the master of people, and yesterday the grass is occupied by grass as king... The blue wisps of the yanlu road have made great achievements, the task of moving mountains and reclaiming the sea is busy, and the callos and calluses are bitter, and the ambition of the world is high. Point soybeans, grow sorghum, buds high, wheat yellow. Winter is not cold, autumn is not cold, insect bites are not painless, sunburn is not unharmed, not coarse grain is better than fine grain, people are strong... What is labor production? What is socialist construction? What is the opening up of the Northern Wilderness? Not cold to the bone, where is the plum blossom fragrance? If it is not a man who toils, why is the barn full? If you don't suffer for the machine early, why should 650 million people be nervous! ...... He Jiazi, He Shiniang, what a hero He Looks like, the first to open the Northern Wilderness. Not odd coincidence, too ordinary, a group of children, how many years of lang, follow the party, the motivation to rise, no longer than him. ”
