They encountered the second group of goblins on the way to learn the scriptures, this group of goblins was led by three black bear spirits, the other two were white snake spirits dressed as scholars and wolf spirits dressed as Taoist monks, one of the three was to the Buddha, one was to learn the Tao, and one was a Confucian, and the gathering and talking were often Buddhist classics, Li Ding An furnace, sand refining mercury and other cultivation-related content.
The Black Bear Spirit is one of the few goblins in journey to the West with good results, and was adopted by Guanyin Bodhisattva as the great god of the Luojia Mountain. There are three reasons for this:
First, the black bear is highly skilled in martial arts. "The above fully shows that the black bear is highly skilled in martial arts.
Second, the black bear is refining to the Buddha. The cave house of the Black Bear Spirit is relatively close to the Guanyin Zen Temple, and as a yokai, the Black Bear Spirit is not as harmful as other yokai, he is very pursuing. He became acquainted with Elder Jinchi of the Guanyin Zen Temple, so that he could learn the Dharma from him. The two preached together for many years and became good friends with each other.
The black bear refined his cultivation, studied the scriptures, and concentrated on cultivation wholeheartedly, which is rare in the Journey to the West.
Third, the black bear spirit has culture, which is rare in the goblin world. The second door of the Batu Cave has a couplet: quiet and deep in the mountains without tacky worries, and the secluded fairy cave is innocent. This couplet shows his optimistic and unencumbered attitude towards life.
The black bear treats people and things with kindness, like a spring breeze. Sun Wukong changed into Elder Jin to go to the appointment, he straightened out his clothes, came down the steps to greet him, made tea and hospitality, and owed himself a greeting... The various manifestations of the black bear essence are in great contrast with his rough appearance.
Look at the invitation of the Black Bear Spirit to the Golden Pond Master' Buddhist robes: "The attendant Bear bows down for the first time, and opens the Great Explanation of the Golden Pool Old Master Danfang: Repeatedly inheriting good benefits, grateful for the depths." The difficulty of returning to Lu at night, if there is a loss of rescue, the immortal machine will be harmless. If you are born with a piece of Buddha's robe, if you want to make an elegant meeting, you should have a flower to drink and offer a reward. At the end of the period, a thousand beggars drove over to a story. Yes, it's a lotus. First two days. "Without a little culture, can you write such an invitation?"
Therefore, the black bear spirit can be favored by Guanyin Bodhisattva and become a great god around the bodhisattva, only because excellent people, no matter where they are, will shine.
