It has been 76 years since the martyr Wang Jin'an died on September 17, 1946. He sacrificed very bravely, used his life to interpret the noble character of a Communist Party member who was loyal and unswerving, and left endless mourning for future generations.

Wang Jin'an martyr

On September 16, 1946, Comrade Wang Jin'an, who was then a member of the Organization Committee of the Sixth District of Jiaocheng County, was appointed by Li Ligong, secretary of the District CPC Committee, and Zhang Yousheng, an armed officer of the Sixth District, came to Yangwushang Village to hold a meeting with the village cadres Ye Rongquan, Ye Huazhong, Zhang Erwan, and others to study the struggle against the enemy. Due to the rampant activities of the Yan Army's "revenge team", "struggle group", "hometown return group" and other reactionary organizations at that time, for safety reasons, in the evening they came to a meeting in an earthen cave outside the village. In the early morning of the next day, when he returned to the home of Ye Erba, a one-family family called Shiya in the eastern part of the village, he was preparing to eat breakfast when he was surrounded and arrested by the "Struggle Group". When the enemy learned that Comrade Wang Jin'an was a member of the organization committee of the district committee, he was given the treasure that he held the list of party branches and party members in the whole region and was a big fish with oil and water to fry. Therefore, they resorted to coercion, inducement, torture, and other means in a vain attempt to dig out our Party's secrets from his mouth. In the face of the ferocious enemy, Comrade Wang Jin'an has always been unyielding and unyielding, and has long put life and death aside, because these reactionary organizations have brutally killed many district and village cadres in the six districts. Knowing that his life was seriously threatened, in order to safeguard the supreme interests of the Party, he held the firm idea of sacrificing himself and never betraying the organization or his comrades, pointed at his chest, and shouted to the enemy: "Go ahead, you will never get what you want." When the enemy saw this, he became angry and angry, so he stabbed him several times and killed him.

Comrade Wang Jin'an made a heroic sacrifice, and he used his life to practice the oath of joining the party to "strictly abide by the party's discipline and guard the party's secrets" and "be ready to sacrifice everything for the party and the people at any time and never betray the party."

After the sacrifice of Comrade Wang Jin'an, the people of the six districts were deeply saddened. When Li Ligong, the secretary of the district party committee who heard the news, saw his body, he could not help but burst into tears and grief. He and Comrade Wang Jin'an not only had a comrade-in-arms relationship and a superior-subordinate relationship, but also got along as brothers. As early as the beginning of 1940, Comrade Li Ligong came to Nantou Village as an assistant of the League, and in the same year he was promoted to director of the District Anti-Corruption League and secretary of the district party committee until he left in August 1945. Comrade Wang Jin'an, on the other hand, served as the secretary of the village party branch in 1940 and was directly under the leadership of Comrade Li Ligong, during which the district party committee was stationed in his courtyard, where they slept in the same house, ate in the same pot, lived in the same village, fought in the same district, and experienced the arduous years of bloody struggle with the Japanese and the Koso, and formed a friendship of life and death. Comrade Wang Jin'an's transfer to the sixth district was also recommended by Comrade Li Ligong. Comrade Wang Jin'an has rich experience in party building and has made outstanding contributions in the work of opening up new districts, according to Ye Fa, an 82-year-old man in Yangwu Shangcun, at that time, Comrade Wang Jin'an was very famous in Dachuan, and people thought that he was a big cadre in Jiaocheng County.

Subsequently, Secretary Li Ligong ordered the district cadres to buy the coffin of Cheng Lu'an, the richest man in Dachuan, and transport the body of Comrade Wang Jin'an to his hometown nantou village after being buried, where a solemn memorial service was held for him. Attending the meeting were relevant leaders of the Jiaocheng County CPC Committee, principal responsible persons of the fifth and sixth districts, representatives of relevant villages, and hundreds of local people. The meeting was presided over by Secretary Li Ligong, and the leaders of the Jiaocheng County CPC Committee delivered a eulogy, giving him a high evaluation of his life, calling him "a good son of the party and a good cadre of the people."

Comrade Wang Jin'an was born in 1917 in a poor peasant family in Nantou Village, the third district of the former Jiaocheng County (now part of Chang'an Township, Gujiao City). In 1937, he was introduced to join the Communist Party of China by Li Guangqian, an assistant to the District League, and in 1939, he was introduced to the Communist Party of China by Hua Guofeng, director of the Jiaocheng County Anti-Japanese League. In 1940, Director Hua Guofeng personally established the Nantou Party Branch, and he served as the secretary of the Party Branch. In March 1945, he was appointed as the officer of the Peasants' Association of the Fifth District of Jiaocheng County, and in October 1945, he was transferred to the Sixth District of Jiaocheng County as an organizing committee member, and he followed Hua Guofeng and Li Ligong to make great contributions to the anti-Japanese work. He died in September 1946 at the age of 29.

He used his life to fulfill his oath of joining the party, written on the occasion of the 76th anniversary of the martyrdom of Wang Jin'an

Comrade Wang Jin'an was honest and helpful by nature, enjoyed a high prestige and cohesion in the village, and during his tenure as secretary of the party branch of Nantou Village, under the direct guidance of Hua Guofeng and Li Ligong, he walked in the forefront of all kinds of work, created a number of firsts in the base area, and built Nantou Village into a red fortress village in the base area. Here we highlight the two "one-sixths" that took place in Nantou Village.

First, let go and mobilize the masses, and extensively carry out four mobilization activities and party building work.

In order to mobilize the masses and carry out party building work, Comrade Wang Jin'an often did not care about eating during the day and sleeping at night, walking the streets and alleys, visiting the cold and asking questions about hardships, sometimes making personal contacts, sometimes holding forums for many people, actively publicizing our party's anti-Japanese policy, and sometimes holding mass meetings for the whole village, inviting leaders of counties, districts, and troops to talk about the situation, talk about war examples, and enhance the ideological consciousness of the masses. He presided over the establishment of the "Peasant Rescue Association," the "Youth Rescue Association," the "Women's Rescue Association," the "Children's League," and other anti-Japanese mass organizations, and the people of the whole village were enthusiastic about resisting Japan and were in league with the enemy, and there were moving deeds of parents sending their sons to the battlefield, husband and wife fighting side by side in the Orient, brothers and sisters fighting together, and uncles, nephews, and nephews going to the country to suffer hardships. Among them, there are "mother and child file", "husband and wife file", "father and son file", "sister file", "uncle and sister file", "uncle and nephew file". What is touching is that Zhang Paihuan, director of the Women's Rescue Association, sent his second son Xu Eryuan and his third son Xu Sanmao to the army in 1937 and 1942 respectively, and unfortunately died one after another. The eldest son joined the militia contingent in the village, and the two daughters were actors of the Nantou Opera Troupe and members of the pro-army group, becoming a typical anti-Japanese model family; the old man Wang Shoutian, a stonemason who fled the desert and settled in Nantou Village, sent his eldest son Wang Wenjun and second son Wang Wenjie to the army, one became a senior cadre of our army, one transferred to local work after liberation, and the stone carving of the monument of the Mulianpo Martyrs Cemetery came from his hand, and he was once awarded the glorious title of "Model Resistance to Subordinates" by the district government; Hao Bangwen, Ma Nüze, and Ma Nüze. Hao Kaiyou and Li Futao are two husband and wife party members, because of the relationship between uncles and nephews, their yard is relatively large, it is a place where our troops are often stationed, they always take care of their children and soldiers enthusiastically, often boiling water, cooking, cleaning rooms, and washing clothes for them. There are still many advanced models like this; some of them are poor families, some are ordinary families, and Hao Bangxi, the eldest son of Hao Yuanzhong, the richest man in Nantou Village (who was designated as a rich peasant at the time of land reform), and Hao Bangbi, the second son, joined the army in 1938 and 1941 respectively; the eldest son unfortunately died in 1947; the second son participated in the war to resist US aggression and aid Korea, and then left the army; they were one of the few people in Nantou who joined the army after getting married. Comrade Wang Jin'an, as the leader of the party branch, set an example everywhere, took the lead in setting an example, sending his brother Wang Erjiao and his uncle Wang Ermao to the army, and also developed his younger brother Wang Jixiao into a party member and became the backbone of the village militia. Comrade Wang Jin'an's courtyard also successively stationed the organs of the CPC Cultural and Jiaotong Prefectural Committee, the organs of the cpc Jiaocheng County Third District Party Committee, and the location of the Nantou Party Branch, which attracted the attention of the fifth wolf head of the big traitor, who used selling vinegar as a cover to inform the Japanese devils of the location of the courtyard. Therefore, this courtyard has both red ruins and Crimes of Japanese pseudo-Japanese and Yan bandits, and the red culture is very deep, and it is affectionately known by the villagers as the "Wang Family Compound" of Nantou Village.

During the most arduous years of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, the people of Nantou braved hardships and dangers and strengthened their revolutionary convictions, and a total of 73 people participated in the revolution. At that time, there were about 400 people in Nantou Village, accounting for one-sixth of the village's population. Among them, there are 29 members of the army, 44 party members (excluding military personnel), and 6 women. The oldest age to join the Party is 53 years old and the youngest is 17 years old. Among these personnel were red army soldiers (who participated during the crusade), the Eighth Route Army, the People's Liberation Army, the Volunteer Army, the public security forces, local armed forces, and cadres going south; there were cadres at the military level, cadres at the regimental level, combat heroes, first-class meritorious heroes, "heroic mothers," "mothers who supported the army," model workers, 6 disabled soldiers, 8 revolutionary martyrs, and 2 people who sacrificed their lives for the country. The composition and structure of the above-mentioned revolutionary personnel can be said to be common in the base areas, but it is very rare to have such a large number in a village. Therefore, Nantou Village has become a typical anti-Japanese model village in the old revolutionary area, which is the solid foundation and backbone of the Red Fortress Village, and demonstrates the firm ideals and beliefs of the people of Nantou and the spirit of sacrifice with courage to dedicate.

Second, the refusal to supply Japanese devils has become a banner of anti-maintenance.

During the reign of Japanese terror, "maintenance associations" and puppet regimes were forcibly established in various villages. Residents over the age of 15 are issued "good citizen certificates" and a system of "even environmental protection sits" is implemented, stipulating that "one person passes through banditry, and the whole family sits consecutively; one household passes through banditry, five households sit consecutively, five households pass bandits, and the upper and lower villages are punished for crimes." These reactionary policies have created a serious situation in the anti-Japanese base areas in which the enemy is advancing and we are retreating, locking the anti-Japanese masses in the cage of fascism, and causing great difficulties in recovering lost land and consolidating and developing the base areas. Therefore, the Party Central Committee and party committees at all levels have repeatedly issued instructions on the struggle against "anti-encroachment," calling for the destruction of the enemy's "maintenance committees" and puppet regimes, and the restoration and expansion of the anti-Japanese base areas.

In order to implement the spirit of the instructions of his superiors, Comrade Wang Jin'an, under the direct guidance of Hua Guofeng and Li Ligong, led the people of Nantou to refuse to maintain it without fear of stubborn enemies. He always adhered to the concept that party members should set an example for the masses everywhere, and party members and cadres should always rush to the forefront, and pay more attention to giving play to the role of party branches as fighting bastions. In the face of the dangerous situation, Comrade Wang Jin'an held separate meetings and small meetings to educate and encourage the masses of the people. He said: "We have the strong leadership of counties and districts and the strong support of the garrison, as well as a militia of counties, districts and villages. He also emphatically said that Director Hua Guofeng said: "We will never be slaves to the subjugated country, we must resolutely struggle against the Japanese devils to the end, and resolutely not give the enemy a grain, a penny, or a single grass; the people's hearts in the revolutionary base areas are red, the bones are hard, and the more rampant the enemy is, the more we have to fight with the enemy. The people of Nantou did not disappoint Director Hua Guofeng's expectations; driven by the party members, the worries of some people were eliminated, and the whole village rallied closely around the party branch, never delivering grain, money, or men to the enemy, and won a victory in the struggle against maintenance, truly becoming a "difficult fight" for Japanese devils.

The victory of the "anti-encroachment" struggle in the Nantou base area made the Japanese devils grit their teeth in anger, and they sent secret agent lackeys to let the wind blow around: If Nantou no longer "maintained" the imperial army, within a few days, Nantou would be reduced to rubble, and those who seized it, regardless of men, women and children, would be beheaded. The people of Nantou were not intimidated, and no matter whether the devils came to rob or arrest the husband, they lived on the tip of the knife, nor did they give the enemy a grain of grain, a grass, or a penny.

The deeds of the people of Nantou who opposed maintenance are all described in detail in "Hua Guofeng in the War Years," "Ancient Jiaojiao Literature and History Materials," and "Chairman Hua in the War-Torn Years" of the People's Liberation Army Literature and Art Publishing House. These documents also point out that at that time, the Japanese army generally established maintenance associations in all villages, only Nantou Village refused to maintain the Japanese and pseudo-Japanese, and the villages east of Nantou Village supplied the enemy of caozhuangtou stronghold; the above villages supplied the enemy of Zhilan stronghold; and the following villages supplied the enemy of the ancient jiaojiao stronghold. Regardless of the devil's threats of intimidation and frenzied retaliation, the people of Nantou Village have not given the devils a day as a "good citizen".

Nantou Village's spirit of struggle, which is not afraid of sacrifice and indomitable, has undoubtedly set up a banner for the anti-Japanese base areas to "oppose maintenance" and "refuse to supply," greatly encouraged the fighting spirit of the masses in the War of Resistance, enhanced their confidence in the victory of the War of Resistance, and at the same time dealt a heavy blow to the arrogance of the Japanese Kou and played a positive leading role in consolidating and developing the anti-Japanese base areas.

The people of Nantou refused to maintain it, angered the Japanese devils, and repeatedly came to the village to take revenge, so that most of the houses of the nantou villagers were burned down. In 1943, the Japanese army came to sweep up, snatched away one of the villagers Lei Baozhu's cultivating cattle, stabbed Lei Baozhu to death, cruelly cut off his head and picked it up with a bayonet and hung it on a tree in Majiakou Village; what was even more cruel was that in the spring of 1943, the Japanese devils cast typhoid bacteria here, and the villagers were infected with more than 200 people Despite this, more than 60 people died in the village, and almost every family had a blood debt of Japanese devils. The people of Nantou have made the greatest sacrifices for it, and together with the 10 people who have sacrificed their lives to the country, there are more than 70 people, accounting for one-sixth of the entire population of the village.

The two more than 70 and one-sixths of the two in Nantou Village during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression were rare in Jiaocheng County at that time, and were also few in the base area of the Eighth Subdistrict. It can be said that the people of Nantou built this red fortress with faith and dyed this glorious banner red with blood, which will shine forever in the history of the ancient Jiaojiao War of Resistance.

In addition, under the leadership of Comrade Wang Jin'an, Nantou Village ranked among the best in all aspects of work. In the spring of 1941, at a militia parade organized by the Eighth Sub-district, Jiaocheng County dispatched militia teams from three administrative villages, Nantou, Xiaoloufeng, and Mahui, and the Nantou militia was commended and awarded a "Type 65" rifle and a bayonet; in the culture of the War of Resistance, the Nantou Troupe successively won more than 20 pennants; and also won advanced in anti-Japanese activities such as self-help in production, supporting the army and resisting the enemy, and "squeezing out the enemy." Therefore, the Nantou Party Branch has also become a model Party branch in Jiaocheng County, and Comrade Wang Jin'an, the leader of the Red South Head, has also become the model Party Branch Secretary of Jiaocheng County.

It has been 76 years since the martyr Wang Jin'an left us, and the people have not forgotten him, and the organization has not forgotten him. His name is recorded in many ancient texts. It is worth mentioning that in 1987, when Comrade Li Ligong, then secretary of the provincial party committee, returned to his hometown of Jiaocheng during the Spring Festival, the first stop was Wang Jin'an's home in Nantou Village, accompanied by the leaders of the district party committee, he visited and comforted Wang Erjiao (old party member and veteran), the younger brother of the martyr Wang Jin'an; in 2021, Wang Jin'an's courtyard was identified as the first batch of red sites by the Taiyuan Municipal Cultural Relics Bureau as "the former residence of Wang Jin'an martyr", "the residence of the three district party committee organs of Jiaocheng County", and "the station of the county committee of the CPC Wenjiao Center".

The profound red cultural connotation of Nantou Village has been highly concerned by the relevant leaders of Taiyuan and Gujiao, and the personnel of the Gujiao Party History Research Office have compiled the "A Banner of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, a Red Fortress Village -- A Chronicle of the War of Resistance in the Old Revolutionary Area of Nantou", which has been widely praised by all sectors of society, and has been listed by the Propaganda Department of the Municipal Party Committee and the Party School of the Municipal Party Committee as a red education point for students, and three groups of students and two groups of teachers of the Education Commission have come to visit, which has aroused great repercussions. In 2020, it was rated as "Taiyuan National Defense Education Demonstration Village" by Taiyuan City, and the Sanjin Metropolis Daily also carried out special reports.

The red gene left to us by martyr Wang Jin'an is a vivid teaching material and a precious spiritual wealth for us to carry out the education of "not forgetting the original heart and keeping the mission firmly in mind"; and the heroic character of his heroic character of practicing the oath of joining the party with his life will surely become an inexhaustible driving force to inspire the people and forge ahead.
