Upside-down boots are the name of an ancient alley in Changsha, with a strange name and allusions.
The author Wang Ping grew up here, and the book describes the stories of more than a dozen Changsha families, layer by layer, with a great sense of depth and full of characters. Although most of them are documentaries, the drama and tragedy of the big era penetrate the paper again and again, and the breath of various people and so on also comes to the face.
This is a somewhat different Changsha, a legend that has not been deliberately dressed up, nor has it been scrawled and perfunctory.
Chen Shuyu, a famous scholar, said: As long as the present or future generations still pay attention to the city of Changsha, Hunan, the small streets and alleys as an important part of the city, and the historical changes in Chinese society for more than half a century, then this book has its own unique existence value - because it is not only a new literary work with the length of prose and novel, but also a weighty and unique urban history.
In this lecture, Mr. Wang Ping will discuss his observation, thinking and practice of literature with the reader on the theme of "Writing In the Dust".
