On Christmas eve 2017, it rained cold rain in the small town of Maple Leaf Country. This is a set of photos taken the next morning in front of and behind the house. The branches of the plants are wrapped in a layer of ice, crystal clear in the morning sun. This scene is quite novel to me, who has been living in warm Fujian. The maple leaf country is sparsely populated, and there were not many people in the small town at that time, which was very quiet. Usually, life outside of work and study is really boring, especially on cold and snowy days, and it is lonely. Looking at these photos taken in the past, the sense of loneliness is still quite profound.
