Du Peng was born in a Peking Opera family, and his father, Du Jiemin, was an excellent veteran actor. When he was a child, Du Peng lived in the theater compound, and when he went out, he could see the actors practicing and rehearsing plays. At the age of six, he was able to sing "Deep Mountain And Ask Bitterness" in "Wise Tiger Mountain", and it was at that time that he became a well-known Peking Opera "prodigy". This also opened the fate of Du Peng and the art of Peking Opera.

Although he saw his son's talent in Peking Opera, Du Jiemin was well aware of the hardships of Peking Opera actors and was reluctant to let his son engage in Peking Opera. When Du Peng was 8 years old, his parents sent him to Qingdao to study violin, hoping to cut off his Peking Opera thoughts. But the distance does not cut off Du Peng's love for Peking Opera. Du Peng, 10, returned to Changle from Qingdao to join the county Peking Opera Troupe and was later sent to a regional drama training class. At the age of 13, Du Peng was still successfully admitted to the provincial drama school in the case of a fracture of his left arm during exercises.
Perhaps it is the infection of the charm of opera or the doom in the underworld, so that Du Peng still maintains his initial enthusiasm for Peking Opera even after several twists and turns, and the efforts in this are unimaginable to ordinary people, and he has no complaints about this.

After identifying and adhering to the path of Peking Opera, Du Peng also met the noble man in his life. In a performance, Du Peng temporarily saved the scene, starred in "Qin Xianglian", and formed a master-apprentice relationship with the famous Peking Opera master Mr. Zhang Xuejin, who went to Mr. Zhang Xuejin to study Ma Pai interpretation.

Mr. Zhang Xuejin was born in the Liyuan family, under the influence of his father Master Zhang Junqiu, he learned drama at the age of seven, successively studied under Wang Shaolou, Chen Shaowu, etc., and then studied with Mr. Ma Lianliang, from Yu into Ma, becoming one of the best descendants of the Ma Sect.
In July 2011, Mr. Du Peng officially worshiped Mr. Zhang Xuejin as a teacher and immersed himself in learning the art of Ma Pai, and Mr. Zhang Xuejin also taught what he had learned all his life in the last days of his life, and the two masters and apprentices together became "people who race against time".

For more than ten years, Mr. Du Peng has been practicing the Ma Pai repertoire taught by Mr. Zhang Xuejin back and forth in the classroom and on the stage every year, and each special performance contains Mr. Zhang Xuejin's ardent expectation of "as long as I still have the tone, I will pass on what I know to him and leave a fire for our Peking Opera Ma Pai".

Ten years of grinding a sword, three decades of coaching career, Du Peng obscurely dedicated the best youth to the effective inheritance and development of the Cause of Peking Opera, so it has also been fully recognized by the Peking Opera circle, winning the hearts and reputation of the people.
In order to enrich, extend and enhance the theory of Peking Opera, Du Peng has left a large number of teaching materials for research and reference, du Peng has written and published several papers such as "Practicality: Important Concepts of Opera Teaching", "Inheritance and Development of Opera Performance Education", "Ten Years of Grinding a Sword - Reflections on the Tenth Anniversary of the Youth Research Class", and led teachers and students to jointly rehearse traditional Peking Opera repertoire, which toured Beijing and many places, becoming the selected repertoire of the Peking Opera Audio-Visual Project of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, which was widely acclaimed.
