Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China (hereinafter referred to as the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology) issued the first "Technical Requirements and Test Methods for Image and Video Stabilization Performance of Mobile Terminals", which is the first industry standard for image and video stabilization of mobile phones and mobile terminal cameras in China, which is applicable to all mobile phones and mobile terminal equipment sold in China.
The standard is developed by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology and Aipeiyi Optoelectronic Technology Co., Ltd. in conjunction with many mobile phone manufacturers, and the mobile phone manufacturers involved in the formulation of the standard are Huawei, OPPO, vivo, Samsung and so on.
At present, the mainstream image stabilization method of mobile phones is divided into OIS optical image stabilization and EIS electronic image stabilization, the former is mostly used in high-end mobile phones, and the latter is mostly used in low-end mobile phones.
OIS optical image stabilization compensates for the shaking of the camera during shooting by moving the position of the lens group or the photosensitive chip, so as to achieve the function of shock absorption and stabilization, so that the shooting picture is clear and stable.
EIS electronic stabilization system refers to the use of electronic technology to achieve image stabilization, through the analysis of blurry images, the use of algorithms to compensate for the image, but will sacrifice the clarity of the picture.
In simple terms, OIS optical image stabilization is hardware image stabilization, and EIS electronic image stabilization is software algorithm image stabilization, so it is obvious that OIS image stabilization is better than electronic image stabilization. However, OIS stabilization is expensive, expensive, and needs to occupy a large space, so cameras that support OIS stabilization are often relatively large.
OIS optical image stabilization was previously only used for high-end models, as the mobile phone industry is more and more internally rolled, in order to enhance the cost performance of mobile phones, many two thousand mobile phones, rear main cameras support OIS optical image stabilization, such as the Redmi K50 released during this time, realme GT Neo3, one plus Ace and so on.
This standard specifies the technical requirements, test environment and test methods for the image and video stabilization performance of mobile terminal camera equipment for mobile terminals with camera or camera stabilization functions (the type of stabilization technology is OIS, EIS, integrated image stabilization or other technical types of products). With reference to this standard, the stabilization effect of different brands of mobile phones will not be as big as it is now.
