There is a whale ditch on the White Deer Plain, there is a whale lake in the ditch, there is a black tiger temple on the whale lake, the temple is majestic, the houses are like houses, the Buddha statues in the temple are full of light, and the bodhisattva sits in the main hall, not angry. There are thousands of acres of bamboo forests on both sides of the stream at the bottom of the ditch, the scenery is beautiful, the water is green and bamboo, just like the open white deer plain hiding a jadeite. There are seven stones of different sizes distributed in the bamboo forest, known as ginger stone, which has a special texture and is full of holes, looking like an old man who has experienced vicissitudes.

How can there be such a dense bamboo forest on the White Deer Plain in the north, why is there a black tiger face in the ditch, and where do such strange stones in the bamboo forest come from? Listen to me tell you a story.

First, the mountain did not fall, and the black tiger escaped

A long time ago, in the great battle with Emperor Huan for the throne, Gonggong was greatly defeated, and he was ashamed and angry, and in order to turn defeat into victory, he did not do anything, did not stop, and crashed into Mount Buzhou. Mount Buzhou was a pillar of heaven, and it actually broke this Optimus Pillar. Suddenly, the heavenly court was in chaos, a corner of the heavens collapsed, the heavenly water poured down, the earth flooded, and the earth became an ocean. All kinds of demons took advantage of the opportunity to make trouble, and the beasts revealed their ferocious nature, and they did nothing evil. A black tiger in front of the Jade Emperor took advantage of the chaos to run out of the Heavenly Court and came to the Earth Realm.

Second, Nuwa makes up for the sky, and the wind and rain are smooth

The Jade Emperor asked Nuwa Niangniang to go down to the mortals, refine stones to replenish the heavens, and destroy the demons and reorganize the rivers and mountains. So Nuwa and the gods refined 36,501 five-colored stones, used 36,500 pieces to repair the heavens, and made four pillars of heaven with the four legs of the god turtle to make up for the heavens. He also led the Heavenly Soldiers to subdue the youkai and hunt down the beasts.

Third, subdue the monsters and suppress the black tiger

The black tiger saw that the situation was not good and hid in the mountains. After the whales turned into Kunpeng and flew back to the sea, a large ditch was formed on the flat loess plain, which is now the whale ditch. Whale Gully divides the loess plains into north and south mounds. The black tiger hid in the whale ditch again, often sneaking out, harming small animals, and there were often cries on both sides of the whale ditch.

After Lady Nuwa went to heaven, she found that the black tiger in front of the Jade Emperor was missing, and she knew that the black tiger would not be at peace. After discovering that the black tiger was hiding in a cave in the whale ditch, the lady used the stone left in the sky to seal the entrance to the cave and suppress the black tiger. Calm was temporarily restored on the ground.

Fourth, the happy life of the white deer

The streams coming down from the mountains moisturize the earth and merge into the whale ditch, the land on both sides of the whale ditch is flat, the water and grass are abundant, the deer rescued by the whales settle here, and the herds of white deer live happily on this land, eating the grass on the plains, drinking the clear spring water in the whale ditch, they live a peaceful and happy life.

I don't know how many years later, when king Zhou Ping moved east, he passed by this place and saw that there were white deer infested on the original, so he named this original white deer plain. The first emperor of Qin, who set the capital xianyang, thought that the rolling mountains were his own garden, so he named the mountains Qinling.

Fourth, the stone shattered, and the black tiger was born

A few years later, the strong enemy in the north invaded, the world was in chaos, and the enemy's horses often passed like a gust of wind, burning and looting. Everywhere they passed, people cried and horses cried, a sea of fire, and the white deer plains were empty of ten rooms and nine emptiness. They also burned the mountains and hunted, and burned all the mountains and forests in the whale ditch, and the original plains were desolate. In the past, the land of abundant water and grass was thousands of miles away. The White Deer Plain was not peaceful again, and the peaceful and happy life of the White Deer was broken.

After the fire, and after years of rain, the lady lady refined the stone and cracked, rolled to the bottom of the ditch, and became seven pieces, revealing the opening of the hole. After years of cultivation, the Black Tiger was born.

Fifth, the black tiger does evil, and the deer suffer

At this time, the black tiger had become extraordinary, turning into a monster, it could soar through the clouds and drive the fog, suddenly rushing and jumping, and suddenly the wind was galloping. A black wind blew through, and it was dark everywhere it passed. There is no evil on both sides of the Whale Gully, so it is called the Black Tiger Monster. A group of white deer living on the original land was often preyed upon by black tigers.

On this day, there are little white deer and their mother looking for food on the ditch bank, and the deer are bouncing and jumping, running again, and they are high and low, and they don't know that the danger is in front of them.

At this time, the black tiger hiding in the cave saw the small white deer playing on the edge of the steep mountain, and a whirlwind reached the deer. Mother Deer saw it, did not allow much thought, and rushed to the front of the black tiger. The mother deer sacrificed to protect the little white deer, and the little white deer was saved.

Sixth, the military situation is urgent, and Di Qing is stationed

During the Northern Song Dynasty, nomadic peoples in the north often raided and plundered the masses on the border and attacked the city. In order to resist foreign insults, the emperor sent the general Di Qingzhen to guard the border pass. He was brave and loyal, and made great achievements in defending the peace of the Great Song Dynasty.

Di Qing was a legendary existence in the White Deer Plain. During the Heavenly Holy Years, Di Qing took the White Deer Plain as a strategic rear, camped in the village, recruited soldiers, and vigorously fought horses. The strategic material reserves were stored in the beautiful White Deer Plain, and chariots, bows and arrows were made in Xiche Village.

The mighty Northern Song army had war horses, chariots, bows and arrows, and practiced day and night on the White Deer Plain, with a momentum like a rainbow, guarding the tranquility of the Great Song Dynasty. The place where Di Qing's army was stationed was named Di Zhai, which has been passed down to this day.

Seven, the white deer helped, Di Qing eliminated the demon

After Di Qing returned from the battlefield triumphantly, he was stationed on the White Deer Plain, and when he learned that the black tiger had done evil, Di Qing was jealous of the evil and was determined to eliminate the monster and benefit one side. The Black Tiger Monster was haunted, and it didn't know where it was hiding, the spring water in the ditch was gushing for tens of miles, the mountain was steep, and the road was steep. How to find the Black Tiger Monster became a difficult problem in front of Di Qing.

At this time, the magical white deer appeared, and it volunteered to make the Black Tiger Monster appear.

Eighth, ten thousand arrows are fired in unison, forming a bamboo forest

On this day, the little white deer came to the military tent and told General Di Qing that he wanted to attract the Black Tiger Monster out. General Di Qing did not want to put the little white deer in danger, but the little white deer had already made up his mind, he wanted to avenge his mother and eliminate the harm for the deer herd, and General Di Qing had to agree. He ambushed countless sharpshooters on both sides of the Whale Gully, waiting for the Black Tiger Monster to appear.

The little white deer came to the ditch bank, pretended to be indifferent, and jumped on the ditch bank, it wanted to attract the black tiger monster out.

Sure enough, the Black Tiger Monster saw the little white deer, and it salivated and wanted to eat it. A black wind blew through the ditch, and at this time, ten thousand arrows were fired in unison, and the black tiger monster died under the arrows in an instant.

People were looking for the little white deer, and the little white deer was also shot by a stray arrow and injured.

9. Suppress the black tiger and turn the arrows into bamboo forests

The next morning, the arrow that shot into the bottom of the ditch turned into a thousand green bamboo.

After shooting the Black Tiger, the people turned it into ashes and built a tower on top of the ashes as a sign of repression. Another temple was built, and the main hall was dedicated to the bodhisattva. From now on, all peoples will be at peace. People call this temple the Black Tiger Temple.

The injured little white deer, the injury is getting more and more serious. People saw the little white deer's painful expression and shed sad tears. The little white deer asked everyone to bury it next to the big stones in the whale ditch.

10. Bamboo forests become seas to benefit the local area

A few years later, around the seven large stones, it became a bamboo forest, and now it has become a thousand acres of bamboo sea. People on both sides of the ditch use bamboo to make all kinds of furniture, and the bamboo forest now benefits one party

The strange stones in the bamboo forest are deep black, full of vicissitudes, full of holes, and this strange stone seems to tell the story of what happened in the whale ditch.

After the reform and opening up, a boss came to Whale Gully to recuperate. She heard that the bodhisattva of the Black Tiger Temple was very enlightened, and made a great wish in front of the bodhisattva: if her illness was cured, she would rebuild the temple and make another golden body. Looking at the picturesque scenery of the four seasons in the ditch, breathing in the fresh air of the bamboo forest, and drinking the gushing sweet spring water, her illness quickly improved. In order to repay the wish, but also in order to repay the nourishment of whale ditch, she rebuilt the Black Tiger Temple, now the Black Tiger Temple house is like a majestic Buddha statue, renamed Bao'en Temple; she developed the water surface and bamboo forest at the bottom of the ditch into a scenic spot, which has become a famous scenic spot in the suburbs of Xi'an, named Whale Gully Zhuhai Scenic Area.
