Zhang Tieniu has been contracting this 30-acre mountain pond to cultivate grass carp for more than 30 years. The fish out of the water are fat and powerful, constantly twisting their bodies, slapping the surface of the water and splashing water, and some of them jump out of the net and re-submerge into the water. Zhang Tieniu said that the grass carp in this round of ponds have reached the market period, with an average weight of about 7 or 8 kilograms, and the estimated total weight is 30,000 to 40,000 kilograms.
The fish are fat, but the farming process is difficult and tortuous. Zhang Tieniu said that in the early stage of breeding, it has experienced the lack of technology and experience, and has also encountered the constraints of facilities and environment... Because the road of Tangyan is low and narrow, it is not hardened, and the fish often jump out of the mountain pond to "run out of the homeland", plus the fish pond is located in the Yantian area, and the alkaline residual components penetrate into the fish pond through the groundwater, which is not conducive to the growth of the fish, which brings great trouble to the breeding. In 2018, through the government department' approval of the project, the pond weir road was widened and hardened, so that the fish had a high-quality growth environment and completely solved the problem of "running fish".
Zhang Tieniu: Before the road was not built, fish farming always ran away, at that time there was a loss of more than 100,000 yuan, now through the government department to do a good job of the road, running fish is impossible, now I want to lead the villagers to the road of breeding through fish farming.
In addition to ensuring that the fish do not sneak away, the hardening of the Tangyan road has also brought great convenience to the fish traders to buy catches and the citizens to come to leisure fishing. Zhang Tieniu began to have new ideas in his heart.
