After comprehensive treatment, Grandma Li has now recovered and been discharged from the hospital.
After inquiry, Grandma Li's home has a total of several pet birds, including 5 parrots, and the "parrot fever" suffered by Grandma Li this time is related to them.

According to Xu Changsheng, deputy chief physician of the Emergency Medicine Department of CUHK Hospital, Grandma Li had a fever that lasted for 11 days before coming to the emergency department. In the first few days of fever, Grandma Li has lowered the heat by taking medication. However, after the body temperature dropped, Grandma Li successively appeared to be weak and even unable to walk, and there was also obvious deafness in both ears. At this time, the family realized the seriousness of the matter, and then immediately sent Grandma Li to the hospital for treatment. Through the examination, it was found that Grandma Li's kidney function was seriously abnormal, and the test results showed that Grandma Li's creatinine value was far more than ten times that of ordinary people, and the CT results also showed that Grandma Li had pneumonia.
Xu Changsheng and Grandma Li's family carefully asked whether the family had a pet type, and then learned that Grandma Li's family has always had pet birds, and these birds sometimes eat the food that people have eaten, Xu Changsheng's conjecture has been initially confirmed.

However, it is not certain that Grandma Li suffers from "parrot fever" based on the fact that there are livestock and poultry at home, because most patients with "parrot fever" will only have mild abnormal kidney function and lung diseases, and rarely have symptoms of deafness in both ears. In order to further verify the cause of Grandma Li's etiology, Xu Changsheng asked Grandma Li to do genetic testing for the source of the disease. The results confirmed that Grandma Li was suffering from "parrot fever".
