In April 2022, a new interest statement for RMB deposits of various domestic banks was established
Deposit refers to a form of savings in which depositors deposit cash into a time savings account opened by a banking institution, agree in advance to take a fixed term as the savings time, receive a return at a higher interest rate than the demand deposit, and receive principal and interest after expiration.
Time deposits are the funds or currency that depositors temporarily transfer to the bank under the condition of retention of title, and are the most important source of credit funds for banks.
Note: If the depositor withdraws a term deposit before the agreed savings period is reached, the bank will usually handle the business in the same way as a demand deposit. Depositors are often required to notify the bank one day in advance of the request to make an appointment to withdraw before they need to collect a large deposit, in case the bank reserves enough cash to pay for it.
