Devolver and Lucasfilm Games have shared the first screenshots of the game "Return to Monkey Island".
Return to Monkey Island is the long-awaited sequel to Secrets of Monkey Island and Little Heroes of Monkey Island 2: Lechak's Revenge. "Return to Monkey Island" will present a more "modern" art style. The game will start in an amusement park, from where players will experience a lot of strange twists and turns.
Developed by Terrible Toybox in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games and released by Devolver Digital, Return to Monkey Island is set after the original Monkey Island Secrets and Monkey Island Heroes 2: Lechak's Revenge. Ron Gilbert, one of the original creators of the first two games, will return to direct and design Monkey Island, Dave Grossman will return to co-write the story, and Dominic Armato will continue to voice the main character, Gabrash Tripwood. In addition, Michael Rand, Peter McConnell and Clint Bajakian, (who previously worked on the Monkey Island series of games) will also return to producing soundtracks.
