According to a previous report by Andrew Greif, a reporter with the Clippers, it is now widely believed that Morris Jr. will be seen by the Clippers as a bargaining chip in order to exchange him for some players to upgrade and balance the lineup.
Morris Jr. then directly liked the news, but did not give any reply. Morris Jr. has two more years left on his contract with the Clippers, with a salary of $16.37 million for the 22-23 season and $17.11 million for the 23-24 season.
In the regular season, Morris Jr. played in 54 games for the Clippers, averaging 29 minutes per game, scoring 15.4 points, 4.4 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 0.5 steals, shooting 36.7% from three-point range.
