In Taiwan Province, fraud can be called "blooming everywhere", and the means of scammers are endless, and fraud cases have long been no news.

Due to Taiwan's insufficient crackdown on fraud, fraudsters are getting bolder and fatter. Nowadays, there are already scammers who use Tsai Ing-wen as an "advertising spokesperson" to commit fraud.

On April 19, the Center for False Information Research of the Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology released a message saying that a fraud group had published a paid advertisement on Facebook, and the cover was a photo of Tsai Ing-wen laughing and a sentence "Although I didn't know that the microphone was turned on, her remarks shocked the world", which looked easy to think that it was media news, and as a result, when clicked in, she saw several big words - "Tsai Ing-wen teaches you to invest and get rich".

False information posted by fraudsters

The false advertisement claimed that Tsai Ing-wen had unveiled a new wealth loophole that could turn anyone into a millionaire in 3 to 4 months, and Tsai urged everyone in Taiwan to seize the amazing opportunity to invest in cryptocurrencies and not wait for the big banks to shut them down permanently.

The text in the "advertisement" looks very "exciting", such as "Tsai Ing-wen's latest investment has aweed experts and caused panic among big banks"; "Tsai Ing-wen has always been known for her outspokenness, and she advocates being honest about everything, including how she makes money".

In fact, this disinformation appeared as early as January this year, but the "protagonist" at that time was Taipei Mayor Ko Wenzhe. Ko Wenzhe once posted a warning, "This is false information! This is a scam! ”

Ke Wenzhe

Luo Chengzong, co-host of the Center for False Information Research of the Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology, said that not only Tsai Ing-wen and Ke Wenzhe, but also Xie Jinhe, a financial expert on the island, and the green media "Liberty Times" have all been counterfeited, "it is exactly the same model, because no one has to take care of it."

He later revealed that the "NCC (Taiwan Communications and Communications Commission)" has studied and drafted the "Draft Digital Communications Law", but the draft has not yet been sent to the "Executive Yuan" to the "Legislative Yuan" for consideration.

After this matter fermented on the island, it was unanimously "ridiculed" by netizens on the island.

Many netizens believe that Facebook is the social media software of the United States, and the DPP is so servile to the United States that how can it regulate the United States.

Some people said that there was an endless stream of scam information on Facebook, and no one cared about it before, but now it's Tsai Ing-wen's turn to suddenly say that she wants to manage it.

Others ridiculed Tsai Ing-wen as a "fraud spokesperson", entirely because she "fits the human design".

Tsai Ing-wen

In the early 1990s, there were already fraud syndicates in Taiwan, which were then known as the "Golden Light Party".

After 2000, telecommunications fraud became the "mainstream" of fraud cases, of which fraud such as impersonation of public offices and aid of diplomatic relations was the most common. According to Taiwan media statistics, in 2006 alone, the property losses caused by telecommunications fraud in Taiwan amounted to NT$18.59 billion.

With the signing of the Cross-Strait Agreement on JointLy Combating Crime and Mutual Legal Assistance in April 2009, the Taiwanese fraud syndicate moved to Southeast Asia and other places, and then spread like a virus around the world.

Judging from the cases that have been solved, Taiwan fraudsters not only appear in Asian countries and regions including Japan, South Korea, Cambodia, Malaysia, Palestine, India, Sri Lanka, etc., but also spread to Kenya and Egypt in Africa, Spain in Europe, Dominica in Central America, Australia in Oceania and other places.

Its "industrial layout" is wider than That of Hon Hai, Taiwan's largest semiconductor foundry.

The main reason why Taiwan fraudsters are so rampant is that the punishment is not enough.

In contrast to the mainland, fraud is punishable by up to life imprisonment, while taiwanese fraud is punishable by a maximum sentence of five years or less than NT$500,000. Such a low cost of breaking the law has led to Taiwanese fraudsters who will soon return to their old business after completing their sentences or paying off fines.

I don't know if this time, Tsai Ing-wen, who has become a "fraud spokesperson", will make up her mind to fight fraud crimes?
