Liu Wei, born in June 1965, graduated from the School of Economics of Fudan University with a major in national economics, with a postgraduate degree and a doctorate in economics.
According to public information, Liu Wei has served in the petrochemical system of Henan Province for more than ten years, serving as deputy director of the Petrochemical Industry Management Office of Henan Province; transferred to the Henan Provincial Development and Reform Commission in 2004, successively serving as director and deputy director of the Industrial Division; and in 2017, he was appointed director of the Provincial Development and Reform Commission.
