On April 19, the ITTF World Rankings for the 16th week of 2022 were announced, with Fan Zhendong occupying the top spot in the men's singles list, Ma Long second and Liang Jingkun fourth. Women's singles Chen Meng, Sun Yingsha and Wang Manyu were in the top three. Japan's Tomokazu Zhang and Mimachi Ito are fifth in men's singles and fourth in women's singles. As there were no events last week, the rankings as a whole have not changed much. In the men's singles, Fan Zhendong ranked first with 10,598 points. Malone finished second with 6804 points. Brazil's Calderano Hugo is third, Liang Jingkun is fourth, and Japan's Zhang Benzhi is fifth. Chinese Taipei's Lin Yunru is sixth, Germany's Ochalov is seventh, Xu Xin is eighth, 41-year-old German veteran Bohr is ninth, and Lin Gaoyuan is tenth.
In the women's singles, Chen Meng occupied the top spot with 9175 points, followed by Sun Yingsha with 8280 points, and Wang Manyu ranked third with 6411 points. Ito ranked fourth, and Wang Yidi ranked fifth. Hina Hayata and Yoshinori Ishikawa were sixth and seventh respectively, with the top seven national table tennis and Japan occupying four and three seats respectively. Hong Kong's Du Kaixuan was eighth, Singaporean veteran Feng Tianwei was ninth, and Puerto Rico's Diaz was tenth.
ST WTT Grand Slam Singapore Women's Doubles champions Wang Manyu /Sun Yingsha came first with 4289 points, while the Japanese duo of Mimachi Ito/Hina Hayata and the Luxembourg duo of Ni Xialian/Denut were second and third respectively. In men's doubles, the Japanese duo of Hayabusa Togitakami/Yukiya Utada led with 2,974 points, Sweden's World Table Tennis champion team Carlson/Fark was second, and Fan Zhendong/Wang Chuqin was third with 2,350 points.
In mixed doubles, chinese Taipei duo Zheng Yijing/Lin Yunru topped the list with 5018 points. World Table Tennis Champion Wang Chuqin/Sun Yingsha ranked second with 4112 points, while the French duo of Lebison/Yuan Jiannan was third.
