Chen Hui holds an open concept in art teaching and advocates the maximum development of students' artistic personality. In his experimental ink painting class, students use water, ink, and whatever materials they have at hand. Under the guidance of the teacher, everyone turned the occasional inkblot into a work of art endowed with ingenuity, so that the picture changed from loose to tight, from wide to fine, and from decay to magic. In his still life sketching class, he guides the students to incorporate the multitude of objects in front of them into their chests, and reorganize the picture in the form of flowers and trees, so that ordinary sketches are also creative. These undoubtedly mobilize the imagination and creativity of students.
