Yongyan (永琰) was the name of Emperor Jiaqing of The Qing Dynasty. The fifteenth son of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty, his mother was a noble concubine of the Wei Jia clan. In the thirty-eighth year of Qianlong (1773), he was secretly established as the crown prince. In September of the sixtieth year of Qianlong (1795), he was officially made crown prince. On the first day of the first lunar month of the following year, he was inspired by the Qianlong Emperor Neichan, that is, the throne, and the year name was Jiaqing.
