After that, Lin Peng performed laparoscopic surgery on Mingming, and the intraoperative investigation found that the two kidneys on the left side of Mingming emitted ureters and merged into one into the bladder, while the lower kidney and the ureter connection section were significantly narrowed, resulting in hydronephrosis in the lower kidney. To this end, he performed stenosis resection, renal pyelectomy and ureteral reassurant surgery for Mingming. After 1 week of follow-up examination, the degree of hydronephrosis was significantly reduced, and he was successfully discharged from the hospital a few days ago.

Lin Peng introduced that if the 3 renal ureters are normal and asymptomatic, one more kidney is of course a good thing; however, the extra kidney is often a stunted small kidney, which generally grows on top of the normal kidney and is closely connected with the normal kidney. Not only is it small in size, it's also not good in function. And if there is a malformation of the ureter, it will also affect normal life, causing the baby to have difficulty urinating, dripping urine and leaking urine. However, it is clear that the situation is rare, and his extra kidney is normal.
Lin Peng reminded that if the child in the family has repeated unexplained fever, urinary tract infection, diapers, vulvar eczema, and cannot improve after excluding common causes, urinary tract malformations should be considered. At present, urinary ultrasound has a high rate of diagnosis of repeated renal malformations and can be used as the first choice for screening.
