The resistance armed homemade weapons in Magway Province, Myanmar, are being mass-produced for use against the Burmese army

On 13 April 2022, the latest handmade weapons produced by the Jungle Red Arsenal were displayed at the event in the town of Gangao, Magway Province, indicating that with the support of brothers and sisters at home and abroad, the latest handmade weapons produced by the Jungle Red Arsenal were displayed at the event.

These handmade weapons, including direct-sighted and artillery shells, grenade launchers and muskets, are made using existing local materials, but the craftsmanship has been improved compared to previous handmade weapons, and is currently being mass-produced to fight the Burmese army.

The Southern Gangault Defence Army is a direct unit of the Government of National Unity (NUG), while there are other resistance forces in the Gangault area, and the Southern Gangault Defence Army has also undertaken the task of providing weapons to other resistance forces in addition to its combat mission. Previously, the National Unity Government had promised to provide weapons for the National Resistance Forces, but due to geographical reasons, it was difficult for the National Unity Government to transport standard weapons purchased from abroad to the northwest region of Myanmar, including Magway Province, so the demand for weapons could only be solved by setting up a jungle red arsenal.
